Regarding the Internet rumors, no member of Freeman's staff made any derogatory or discriminating comments towards Jenna or Barbara Bush. We are a non-partisan establishment and pride ourselves on having a diverse clientele. The Bush twins or any member of the first family are welcome to join us for dinner anytime.
Actually, discrimination on the basis of politics is lawful. It was ruled so in a case out of MA in 2000 when a Republican was fired from his job for supporting W by his rabidly Democrat bosses. The court ruled that there are no laws forbidding political discrimination and the ruling still stands. I think all Republican bosses ought to hire good Republicans and fire Democrats. They hate business, especially corportations, so this ought not upset them too much.
This is a newer spot on Lower East Side, and they said they don't take reservations for a group smaller than 6, but he always gets a call or a visit before any security problem notables arrive, (this is standard for popular spots, I know from personal experience) he would have been told of the Presidents kids where on the way and no call or visit happened..
This is an urban myth in the making.. Of course I wasn't there but it sounded fishy to me, because this wouldn't be a wise move at all, no matter where it is. I believe him.
Or page Phil McKracken.
yes. no doubt in my mind.
They can come over to my humble little home and I can cook 'em up some of the finest meals I can find on the outstanding FReeper recipe threads.
Anytime.
"I just got off the phone with their manager.. "I've heard the rumor, and it is total BS. It's someones pipe-dream Carlo, I swear it never happened"."
good work. yeah, the lower east side is much too civilized for this to be true. Just wouldn't happen.
If you are a lib then no matter you're a murderer, a traitor, a liar, a molester, a rap artist who fires off his gun in a crowded club.......you're welcome.
GOOD FOR YOU! Sephora has much nicer people working there anyway...
I used to love Pancho Villas on 1st Avenue. Is it still there?
"The girls are lucky. They could have been served food with spit in it."
Or worse!
There used to be a fairly good TexMex on 46th, between 2nd and 3rd. Of course that was 24 years ago. Now that I'm back living in San Antonio, my problems center more around Greenpoint style Polish food. Especially kishka.
how come Phasz spoke to the manager and the manager said something much different.
"This is in my neighborhood. I wouldn't be so sure that this isn't a publicity gimmick. I question whether this is true."
It's been years since I've been in New York, but I'd think a place that trendy and popular would require reservations, and if that's the case unless another name was used, the management would have known in advance who was coming. I'm not so sure this happened either.
Yeah, I was about to say... The Midwest "hunting lodges" I've seen tended more towards T-bones and Budweiser.
I'd pay good money to be the SS agent in the kitchen.....that witnessed it... The perp would pay....boy would he pay....
I'm in a blue zone on a business trip at the moment. This is a dark and strange place - I do believe this, actually - while most people appear to me to just be carrying on with life as per usual, there are signs and hints of people choking on their sour grapes. I have been borrowing an office of someone who has a bumper sticker for "MOB" (Mothers Opposing Bush) on their corkboard. Next to my office was one with someone who still has a Kerry / Edwards sticker on their board. I've gone out to dinner with people who seem to think that it's unheard of to not vote for Kerry if you're from this particular region, it's almost a matter of regional identification for some to believe what the DNC says.
It's very strange. These people criticise conservatives for being closed-minded and ignorant, yet they are adhering to narrow prejudices, some based upon area of residence. And some appear to have no limit to the lengths they will go in adhering to a bias.
Regards, Ivan
LOL Sound's disgusting.
Let's be realistic: "Urine Free by '23!"
That might be doable.
don't forget that this is the year that the dems. are outfitted in tinfoil suits. Leave the conspiracy theories to them. As a former new yorker you must realize that it would be out of character for a restaurant full of people to uniformly cheer about anything and then have a round of drinks to celebrate. just doesn't happen.
