Regarding the Internet rumors, no member of Freeman's staff made any derogatory or discriminating comments towards Jenna or Barbara Bush. We are a non-partisan establishment and pride ourselves on having a diverse clientele. The Bush twins or any member of the first family are welcome to join us for dinner anytime.
Any NYC restaurant that is considered "hot" will request a phone number for confirmation when the reservation is made. And they will call back to confirm. Those that are less than "hot" will had the table for exactly 10 minutes before giving it away. And those that aren't "hot," it doesn't matter. Nobody is showing up, anyway.
If this item makes the news, then it'll pack the place for a week before dying out. The same thing happened when the Water Club refused to serve employees of GE
I wonder if they will still be in business in 4 years given the turnover rate in what is ultra hip in NYC.
In New York City, or anywhere I suppose, it's safer to pick from buffets. At least you know you're not a target in particular...
No violation here the 'victims' were white republicans. No problem....move on!
Forget it. In the real days this would have been handled with true results. Next week just to upset them for Thanksgiving they would have received an IRS audit notification. That would have puckered their spenctor.
I'm positive the place has a problem with "rats"...
All I hear about now are "smashed potatoes."
If you want to shut down a restaurant that is frequented by NYC-type liberals, just get the word out that you saw an African-American eating there once.
It is basically a gossip blog about NYC. This may or may not have happened. I probably should have put a disclaimer on it.
I suggest we do what we do best.......make some noise to this place of business and make them very uncomfortable. They are obviously finding this very humourous.
"giving the place a quirky edge, as do the tattoed, waifish servers"
Sounds like the waiters and probably the Maitre D are Kerry Fudgepackers, who had a gay snit fit.
Good thing. Who wants to eat in a restaurant staffed with tattoed waifish servers (Probably with more metal in their ears, lips and eyelids that in the ibeams of the building!). Who knows what fatal or semi fatal infectious diseases could be lurking if one ate in a dive like this.
I think all of us Freepers in the area should make reservations on a given date. Everyone arrive about 15-30 minutes apart. The last couple arriving make a loud scene. Like: "Honey isn't this where the Bush twins were turned away recently?" At which point all Freeper diners get up and leave. :)
If I were famous, I just wouldn't eat in restaurants, period. You never know who has what out for you.
Isn't stuffed prunes an English concoction? I remember the Two Fat Ladies making them, on The Food Network.
Yeah, I seriously doubt the entire restaurant cheered.
In fact, I doubt it happened at all.
This year, there was a 36 % increase in the number of NYC voters who voted for Bush compared to 2000. And Kerry got 9000 fewer votes than Al Gore did.
...or you could buy your own restaurant.
Other disreputable types could give lousy ratings to the place at this site:

seriously....
Urine Free in 003. too late for that slogan.
When differentiating between conservatives and libs, human is a "race".
Therefore, the Bush twins have grounds to sue.
