Regarding the Internet rumors, no member of Freeman's staff made any derogatory or discriminating comments towards Jenna or Barbara Bush. We are a non-partisan establishment and pride ourselves on having a diverse clientele. The Bush twins or any member of the first family are welcome to join us for dinner anytime.
Interesting. But just to make sure, after speaking to the manager of the restaurant we are talking about you believe that this incident happened, correct?
If you want to see what racism truly is, you need to travel down to neighborhoods like Bushwick, Red Hook, East New York, etc., where the gentrification process is starting to slowly obliterate once contiguous, minority communities and turn them into startling replicas of Greenwich Village.
It's what some of the more disreputable race hustlers in my city, e.g. Charles Barron, would characterize as "ethnic cleansing."
These lefties are the most despicable hypocrites alive. They should use some of that trust fund money they're rolling around in to buy a clue.
Considering the source can we be sure this is true? NYC restaurants are like prostitutes--if you have money they have the time.
I once ordered enchiladas at a Columbus Street place at about 74th street in NYC. My wife encouraged this since I am a Texan. It was foolish thing to do. It was a corn tortilla. After that it got really bad. Stuffed with cream cheese, with little dark things in it, I thought flies at first, but they were raisins. It was Godawful.

Yeah, what exactly did you do?
I wonder if the accountant has been updating their books....or the health dept. inspecting for sanitation compliance. Anyone checking the ethnicity of the staff?
Youknowwho can drink until puking and that'll serve 'em both right!
Well, now that I know you live in NJ...! Hey, can you get some more signs put up over there? . ; )
DOE
No, it's real. Warm your little hands on that one.
This sounds totally made up.
We used to have three or four great Tex-Mex places in NYC called Caramba. Wish they were still here. Enchiladas to die for.
Untrue. As a one-time waiter and restaurant manager in NYC, my experience is that a host(ess) or manager with a wait list could do anything they damn well please.
The two dorks who pulled this crap were stupid about it. Also. Freeman's Alley is not that fancy a diner. Not by a long shot. Matre'd HELL!!! It's just another Lower East Side fern bar with pretentions. It's right off of the Bowery on the end of an alley off of Rivington. In the middle of the restaurant supply district in what was until recently a very seedy neighborhood.
I never ate there but I was at a gallery a door down not too long ago. I repeat, Freeman's is just another joint that's kind of nice, but it isn't hoidy-toidy fancypants and pinky out. Not by a long shot.

Have fun with it!
I believe that when a restaurant discriminates based on political affiliation and publicly humiliates while discriminating, there has to be protections against that. I will have to try and find it perhaps, but I believe that is unlawful. They would have to have cause to turn away diners for no reason other than they're the President's daughters.
LOL!
Flush twice, it's a long way to the kitchen.
Rudeness = misdemeanor = $1000.00 fine
That'll work. By the way, read post 243, I'll believe this will clarify it a bit.
I have an appreciation for high culture when free beer is involved.
This cinches it for me. They're using this as a publicity stunt. A popular restaurant with excellent food wouldn't have openings one day away unless you were a big spending regular or a very very special customer.
