Was Abe Lincoln Gay? (The blockbuster book that will change America’s history)
LA Weekly ^ | OCT. 29 - NOV. 4, 2004 | Doug Ireland

If the loving heart of the Great Emancipator found its natural amorous passions overwhelmingly directed toward those of his own sex, it would certainly be a stunning rebuke to the Republican Party’s scapegoating of same-sex love for electoral purposes. And a forthcoming book by the late Dr. C.A. Tripp — The Intimate World of Abraham Lincoln, to be published in the new year by Free Press — makes a powerful case that Lincoln was a lover of men.

Tripp, who worked closely in the 1940s and 1950s with the groundbreaking sexologist Alfred Kinsey, was a clinical psychologist, university professor and author of the 1975 best-seller The Homosexual Matrix, which helped transcend outdated Freudian clichés and establish that a same-sex affectional and sexual orientation is a normal and natural occurrence.

In his book on Lincoln, Tripp draws on his years with Kinsey, who, he wrote, "confronted the problem of classifying mixed sex patterns by devising his 0-to-6 scale, which allows the ranking of any homosexual component in a person’s life from none to entirely homosexual. By this measure Lincoln qualifies as a classical 5 — predominantly homosexual, but incidentally heterosexual."

Tripp also found, based on multiple historical accounts, that Lincoln attained puberty unusually early, by the age of 9 or 10 — early sexualization being a prime Kinsey indicator for same-sex proclivities. Even Lincoln’s stepmother admitted in a post-assassination interview that young Abe "never took much interest in the girls." And Tripp buttresses his findings that Lincoln was a same-sex lover with important new historical contributions.

Oh, he was a *real* winner then. Someone like that could say the sun was overhead at noon, and we should think twice before believing him even about that. Yuck!!!

For the past 20 years, "outing" dead historical figures has turned into a cottage industry for the extreme elements of the pro-gay community. They have "outed" Alexander, Peter the Great and dozens of others with virtually no evidence; just that they want others to believe they were "gay."

In some cases (Alexander the Great, Richard I) the evidence is fairly convincing (and was seriously discussed by historians before the current identity-politics fad bloomed). However, Sturgeon's Law applies.

Other Gay Men of History...
William Jefferson Clinton - gay (book by male intern later next year).
Hitler - a lover of men.
Attila the Hun - had a limp wrist.
Jeffrey Dahmer - enjoyed the company of young men, then ate them.
Satan - a woman trapped in a man's body.
Wolf Blitzer - goes without saying.
Ted Kennedy - eats and drinks to forget.

All of this is based on extensive research and is the unimpeachable truth. (Geez, this Lincoln book makes Kitty Kelley look like a real scholar).

the groundbreaking sexologist Alfred Kinsey

That should read "groundbreaking FRAUD sexologist Alfred Kinsey."

Judith Reisman has thoroughly debunked Alfred Kinsey.

Was Abe Lincoln Gay? (The blockbuster book that will change America’s history)

MODERATOR PLEASE KILL THIS BLOG!

I disagree about your request to kill the blog.

After reading this blog with a some research I am reminded and convinced that the Homosexual Agenda is part of a larger communist agenda (brainwashing men) to destroy the family in America.

I maybe wrong but, but, but Homosexuality doesn't make any sense to me. So unless I'm delusional, it looks like this phase of their agenda it's working.

Lincoln, like any historical figure, may or may not have been gay. We have no way of knowing at this remove. I am not even going to address the issue. I would just point out two things:

First, people who have not done a great deal of reading of nineteenth-century letters and books may be unfamiliar with the norms of English usage at the time. The same words used then have a different import than they do now. It was common for men to speak of being a "tenderly devoted friend" or a "loving friend" while we today might say rather, "He's my bud" or "we tight." They threw the word "passionately" around a lot back then. Men back then would hold hands or even kiss one another on the cheek with no homosexual intention. It was a different culture. "The past is a foreign country, they do things differently there."

So it was with the practice of sharing a bed then. People slept together for the sake of warmth, or because there was only one bed in a room. This was a reflection of the ambient level of heat before the invention of central heating, not a guarantee of homosexual activity. Heavens, I have shared a bed with a girlfriend under similar circumstances and I am far from being a lesbian!

Second, it may be almost inconceivable to modern people, and especially to gays, but there were some people in the past who believed that homosexuality was wrong and if they experienced a homosexual urge, they did not act on it. Yes, unbelievable though it may be, in the past some people had principles and ethics, and when they had a desire to do something wrong, they controlled themselves. You will never hear the gay fraternity admit that this is possible.

This cretin the humanists have cannonized just like they did that NAMBLA fool Allen Ginsberg. Kinsey's troop was a Caligula freak show.

Lots of trash being taught at all levels of education. Homosexual activist organizations such as GLSEN need to be booted out of pulic education, especially the K-12 schools.

An excerpt from "When Silence Would Have Been Golden:

LYING ABOUT LINCOLN

The same Los Angeles school district has also promoted the widely discredited piece of "gay" revisionist history that claims President Abraham Lincoln had a homosexual affair with his good friend Joshua Fry Speed. In 1995, Kathy Gill, director of the LAUSD's Gay and Lesbian Commission, defended the commission's use of a one-page document entitled "Abraham Lincoln's Love for Joshua Fry Speed." Gill told this writer that the paper gives a "balanced" account about the "homosexual activities that [Lincoln] did have." When questioned repeatedly about the irresponsibility of making such a claim, Gill said, "There are many people in history that have had bisexual activities. That's not a sin. It's not a sin to tell the truth."19

In reality, the "gay" Lincoln myth is rooted in the bizarre writings of one Charles Shively, a pro-pedophile academic. His book Drum Beats: Walt Whitman's Civil War Boy Lovers, asserts, for example, that because Lincoln and Speed shared a bed when they rented a room together in their youth, it meant they were homosexuals. Lincoln scholars ridiculed that assertion as nonsense, saying, as one put it, "In those days, bed space was at a premium, so this was very common."20 Michael Burlingame, a leading Lincoln scholar, said, "there is simply no evidence" to support Shively's theory, which, sadly, has since been given a wider audience on the Internet.21

Oh yea, normal and natural, that is sure to get me interested in reading revisionist history. Wait a minute, the word history doesn't seem to even belong in the same sentence as the word revisionist. Just leave President Lincoln alone and stick your late nose in someone elses business, and BTW how was your meeting with Abe on the other side, Oh, your not in the same place as Abe. So Sorry, NOT!

Lincoln stayed with a young man in Farmington, Illinois for 4 years, they shared the same bed in an upstairs room. This an historical fact. His name was Joshua Speed.

Yes, and there is no known evidence that they were doing it for any purpose other than the obvious one (cutting their lodging expenses in half).
