While I agree with the dictum that Impeachable offenses are whatever Congress says they are, and while I also believe that President Bush's Amnesty/"not an Amnesty" is an incredible blunder, both for party and country, Savage is being a counterproductive idiot to say that Bush should be impeached for this. President Bush's Amnesty should be defeated the old fashioned ways: by moral suasion and smart counter-politics..

President Bush's Amnesty should be defeated the old fashioned ways: by moral suasion and smart counter-politicsI meant to say, exactly.

"President Bush's Amnesty should be defeated the old fashioned ways: by moral suasion and smart counter-politics.." I'm just curious as to when the last time was that something was defeated by this method and what it was that was defeated.
Personally, I think the whole lot in D.C. deserves impeachment for CFR alone, as well as the flaunting of our immigration laws.
It certainly can't hurt for Savage to point out that there is growing anger in the base. I am sure Bush has some bones to throw his base right before the election, I'm curious as to what they might be. It will certainly not bode well if no bones are toss'ed.

"Savage is being a counterproductive idiot to say that Bush should be impeached for this." Sometimes, Savage makes sense. His overreaction here doesn't.

And conservatives are going to accomplish this in the ten months prior to the '04 election?
It's become quite clear that EVERYTHING this administration does is calculated to maximize their own power -- and become ALL things to ALL people...
BTW, how'd you like Dubya's pulling off of his own version of 'Wag-the Dog' by announcing his new Martian Space Program in the middle of this legal/illegal immigration conundrum?

I want to give you credit for being sensible, instead of buying into the "conservatives unite to impeach Bush" hysteria.
