I know about people going into the news to change the world, those are the Democrats.
Where are the children of Conservatives that should be going into the profession and balancing this out?
If all liberal activists and few conservatives go into that business, then that is one area of weakness we need to over-come.
Think of that as another area of grass roots conservatism that needs to get going.

And the official FR method of doing this is demonstrated by Jim's post here? Calling them his sworn enemies? I beleive we were talking about politicans, neither of which, FR or Jim, can claim as a title.

Well, you know me - I go out of my way to be nice, but I've never rally been known to spare anyone's feelings. I call it like it is, and if people get mad about it, great -- maybe it will make them think, and that can't be a bad thing now can it? ;0)

Mr. Fairbanks, I think what we need to do is make a gradual turn back to the right. The country has been hijacked and brainwashed by the left since the 1930's (or perhaps longer) through our schools, newspapers, and other information institutions - corrective action isn't going to occur overnight. We will get to those RINO's after we remove the greatest threats to liberty - the extreme leftists and their minionsExcellent post. The right has been demonized so badly, it will take time to reverse the damage, especially since the left are attacking harder than ever before right now.

You have zero understanding of how the media controls the flow of information.
Here is an example. The DoD has been grinding out good news about Iraq non-stop. The president and everyone in the administration has been explaining what is going on and talking about the progress we have made.
These stories are confined to a few sites on the internet. The networks are still in quagmire mode.
Now, apparently you think that talking about something over and over will get you coverage. Well, wishing doesn't make it so. You have an example right before you...the coverage of Iraq. Bush has been forced to go to regional papers to get some positive coverage. And when he did that, the national media started attacking him for not meeting with them.
To: Jim Robinson
And I haven't even mentioned how evil I truly believe the official Democrat Party platform is. Here's a partial laundry list of what the Democrat Party supports and promotes: abortion; homosexuality; feminaziism; environmentalism; government control over every aspect of our lives and society; socialized health care; disarmament of the American people; subjugation of the U.S. to the U.N.; the complete elimination of our national sovereignty; complete destruction of our basic traditional family unit; loss of personal freedoms and individual liberty. In other words, complete destruction of our Constitution and Bill of Rights and our American way of life."
Great rant! No doubt about it -- we are at War with the Democrats, who's idea of a "Leader" is THE Anti-Christ.
We here at FR stand shoulder to shoulder with you.

Less government - and, I'd like to see all of the little pieces of power the feds have taken be returned to the statesCouldn't agree more. States rights is a concept that some "average" folks don't even comprehend anymore because they are so used to the big nanny federalists.
What is your take on Pres. Bush doing recess appointments and why hasn't he done so?

The liberals have gradually shifted the concept of a constitutional republic. You know that elected politicians will vote for what the people want in order to keep their political position. If what they want voted for goes against the majority's belief, they run to the media and hype, republicans want to feed dog food to the elderly (or whatever in your face lie they can get away with), thus creating a false impression of conservatives. We need to fight that conception, and to keep fighting until the general population can see right through the lies. It's slowly starting to work.
We are not going to change pre-conceived notions overnight. But, when we have a majority, we can start working on those middle of the road conservatives. We can not undo decades of indoctrination in a few short years. This will be a lifelong persuit. Maybe, if we're lucky, we'll see a real conservative country in our lifetimes. But, I'd rather work hard now, than to allow the democrats to win.
