My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Good evening y'all! We just got home from the car show and I thought I'd stop in to post a couple of pix.

Here's a shot of the row of cars we were in (The Beast is second in line on the left).

And looky what we brought home!! WOOOHOOOOO!

I have NOOOOOO idea where to put it, it's so tall! LOL!
They didn't give out 1st, 2nd, etc. They gave out Top 20 in the class. We were in "Originals--1980 And Older" and there were some beauties in that class. We were stunned to hear our names called. LOL!!

Ok, I've gotta run again....hubby's ready for some supper and I'm a bit hawngry myself. It's been a loooooong day with little "fuel". Off to celebrate. I'll be back in a while. *Hugs*

Really Snippy, you should put all these poems together in a book and ask Feather if there's somewhere that you can send them. They're excellent.

Thanks, y'all. Like I said, we were surprised when they called out our names. There was some stiff competition there today and we really didn't expect anything. We never do. We go for the fun of meeting new folks and running into "regulars", and to watch the spectators' eyes light up as they admire the cars that show up. That's what it's all about for us. If we do get lucky enough to bring home a prize, it's a real bonus.

As for where we'll put that trophy (it's three feet tall but might as well be six!)......we don't know! LOL! We have nowhere to put it where the cats can't get to it! It's in a closet for now. Isn't that the pits? ROTFLOL!

hehehe.....Living in this house can be hazardous to one's health at times....their's and ours! It's bad enough trying to avoid stepping on a tail or toe but now that Jool's learned her new "trick", we have to worry about our own safety. LOL!

Can ya tell by the look on her face that's she's proud of her lil self? hehehe!

I need to get my hubby to snap a shot or two of me "herding" the outside critters one of these days. It's really more like they herd me! ROTFLOL! I should have thought about it while you were here. duuuuh!

Woohoo! Way to go! Hubby would be sooooooo jealous. He had a 1969 SS Chevelle 396 convertible that he showed a few times. He never won anything though. We finally got rid of it back in 1985 because he couldn't buy gas for it and we needed the money. He still gets teary eyed when he thinks about that car. If I had to do it all over again, I never would've let him sell it.
