Oh goodness gracious, are you ever going to update your profile page and not mention me?

I am thankful for my gracious southern upbringing. It has served me well at times when I might otherwise have given in to a darker side of life. It is at such times that I can hear my grandma say things like, "A little consideration goes a long way" or "pretty is as pretty does" or "anything worth doing is worth doing right." And "count your blessings." Funny how when things are bad, if you count your blessings it is hard to wallow in self-pity. There are always so many others who are so much worse off.

About my screen name
I chose this handle on TOS (the You People lingo for Lucianne.com) when I joined during the shocking abuse of Elián González by the clinton administration. I felt, and still believe they were trying to render ths Constitution "null and void".
The name is a protest against the sacrifice of inocents.
About me:
Who me? I'm a hard core card carrying member of the Libertarian Party. I love the constitution, this country (not fond of the government, though), and it's hard working citizens. I hate leaches, cheats, and most politicians. I have a special black place in my heart for elitist hypocrites, and an even darker place for those who abuse authority. I believe in a strong defense, free interprise, and friendly relations with neighbors. I believe stupidity should hurt. Those who won't (as opposed to can't) work should starve. I don't do drugs, but I believe they should all be legal, in a few generations the genetic weakness associated with drug abuse will be greatly reduced. I'm not gay or bi, but I believe such behavior is a private matter between concenting ADULTS. People who molest children should be neutered as a minimum punishment. Every child should be a wanted child, I would not want to inflict a mother who would abort a child on that child. If a woman wants an abortion she should be able to get one, as part of the sterilization procedure. I favor a tax free society, but could live with an absolutely flat low tax. I don't give a d^mn about the color of someones hair, their religion, where their ancestors come from (far enough back, we're all from Africa). I do care about their honesty, their character, and their integrity.
I could go on, but enough about me...

"....a good hunt needed the right bait." It's sooooo nice to know another here who has a fondness for the Children Of Darkness. I've had a weakness for vampires as long as I can remember. Maybe because I've always been a night person, even as a baby.

I was out wandering under teh stars at 3 in teh morning one night, when a neighbor's daughter spotted me in the road.
The moon was full, and was pretty much at it's apex, so I was pretty much lit up like a sign.
She tapped on the glass, turned on a light.
And then pushed a crucifix against the glass.
I made a big show and then went inside.
Sunrise came and I was nowhere to be seen.
So, for awhile, the neighbors had a running rumor/joke that I was a vampire.

I was listening to a British jazz radio station on the internet a couple of nights ago, and they mentioned that the unusually hot summer was bringing spectacular fall colors to Europe - the most showy in memory. Maybe that will happen in Washington, too, following your gorgeous warm summer. I wish I could photograph the season in the Cascades.

The subject of race in sports needs to be discussed to death until silly rules like the one requiring teams to interview a quota of black applicants for coaching jobs before they can hire or face a fine are abolished forever.
As long as black athletes and "leaders" make these ridiculous demands in the sports world, then race will always be suspect as a motive for accolades by the sports media.
Rush Limbaugh was not the originator of the racial scrutiny in quarterback positions -- that began long before he got his job at ESPN -- and he has a right to participate in the ongoing discussion.

Why, bless your heart! I updated it the way I wanted to, already...
