**I loooooooooooove Pooh and Christopher Robin. I have all the old books and secretly read them when no one is looking. Shhhhhh....don't tell anyone. **
I love Pooh tooooo!
I also love Beatrix Potter, especially Mrs Tiggywinkle. I need to find one of the videos.

The missus listened to her mom's words of: "You'll kill yourself in that thing, it's too fast"
Well.. with a Holly 4 barrel, 350 Corvette heads on a (I think) bored out 305, it was plenty fast.
I've only seen pics of it, and seen it drive by.
The guy who bought it isn't taking care of it.

There's a poem along the lines of "I remember you", but it's in a small 3 x 5 spiral notepad that seems to have grown legs.
And I can't remember how it went to save my life.

Don't ya just hate it when people don't know how to take care of things you enjoy? Mine were 427's (the chev/ford equivalents). I can't recall the details of the first one anymore, although I do remember the Isky 505 magnum camshaft and the hood lifts to let the heat out. When that one was corked it was loud, but when it was uncorked for the track it was so loud you needed earplugs. It was one of the most fun times of my life, having that car. My brother was someone who challenged every instinct I had, and I bet I can still out "power-shift" any of those guys! LOL! Those were the days! :)

I had wanted to get a 69 Chevelle shell and toss a 454 or so under the hood.
I'd have to consult my father about a tranny for that, not that in his younger less responsible days he did such, but he would know.
But a more modern engine would have to be that 5.5 liter multi-port with turbo that Chevy fielded for only a year or two.
Had NICE specs from what little I remember, and it would fit nicely inside the space provided.
But the problem would be electronics to control such a monster.
(I'd be seriously out of my league there. I know VW's, not American cars nowadays.)
It's mazing what one can forget by way of working on something like a VW.
(The VR6 engine would fit in my '90 Jetta, as would the Tiptronic 4 speed automatic, and I could wire in the electronics package for it semi-easily. BUT, the caveat is that the tiptronic didn't come out until after the '92 model year or so.)
Loudest vehicle I've heard so far has to be the M1097 HMMWV.
That thing is a V6 diesel with a roughly two inch diameter exhaust pipe.
And it rattles your jaw.
But it can do 90 no sweat, for being a diesel, though acceleration is lacking due to it being such.

Accusations!!!
O my soul
hardly that ...
I'm not a troll
Simply stated
it's not my wish
to read through
idle posting non related
to poetry or ...
getting acquainted
Best of wishes
with the thread
My suggestion was ...
it might make two instead ...
My mistake ...
thought it might be reasonable
to make input ... give and take
oh well that's the breaks ...

Please explain your accusations about the use of more than one name. That is the only concern I have. Your suggestions are always welcome. And thanks for taking the time for the poem.
