In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. I tried to interject a little football discussion into the thread since NLF kicks off tonight, but the reaction was disappointingly thin.

Who's playing the Skins again tonight? Some green and white guys? Aren't they from Jersey?

I like it. Somone who knows the difference between Emily Litella and Rosanne Rosannadanna.
But who are you going to call "bi*ch"?
To: VRWCmember; TheGrimReaper

They never had a group as talented as that one. Phil Hartman was one of my favorites, in the later versions, when he was Sinatra. Remember when he tore Billy Idol a new one?

The thread with the most research done by freepers is
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/971896/posts The newest thread I've seen showing that it's finally getting some decent media attention with real facts and not calling the woman "comatose" (because she's far from comatose) is
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/975861/posts We all need as much help as we can get in phone calls, emails, and letters to the "powers that be" as well as prayers. It's really looking like the jerk is going to get away with letting her starve to death. The judge is deciding the date for her feeding tube to be removed (and the hubby won't allow anyone to even attempt to feed her by mouth) on Sept 11th. The only life support she is on is a feeding tube. She can also say a few words like "mommy" and "help me" and "pain." Once her feeding tube is removed, they say it will take about 10-14 days for her to die. Even murderers get more humane treatment than that. The story gets MUCH worse than the little info here in this post. The lawyer is one of those right-to-die people. Winning this case will help him kill off other disabled people.

Hopefully they can change their record to 2-6 tonight. I always root against the Skins. My father conditioned me to despise them, way back when. He was no fan of George Allen. Plus, they were not very nice to the Cowboys.
