~The Dragon Flies Lair~
Poets | August 27, 2003 | bentfeather

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

No, I write good heartbreak.
You know, that horrible man, he
hurt me & he must pay somehow
type stuff. Unless you meant my
nonsense is better than your
nonsense... *eEr?*

Where have I come from?
Aimlessly I'm wandering.
Where am I going?

Haikuuuuu!

A discourse on Bipolar thinking

Some days I just want to fly-
fly away, far away
See reproach in every eye-
close your eyes, never cry
Cannot laugh 'cause the fun is gone-
wooden smile, blackened sun
Walk alone in a crowd-
all alone, far from home
Wander under moon and star-
rejected light, neon nights
Don't want to feel 'cause the hurt is too much
blackhole eyes, numbing touch
Tide rolls in, tide rolls out
burning bridges, killing time
I wish you were here with me
it's never fun on the run, I ran away from me
The sun rose up, she went down
happiness cannot be found, from silence so profound

Evil! Evil! You have silenced
everyone with your shenanigans!
Off with your head! Er, no...
Off with your shoes! I need a feather!

Consider Love

Whisper, soft whisper, of sweet evening air,
caressing, so gentle the cares flow away.
Feather soft kiss teases my skin with her love there,
welcoming me to relax and let my heart open to her this day.

Joys of the heart are as fine as delft china art,
and as strong as tempered steel from the forge’s hearth glow.
Love, the gift we each give another, and find it returned in part,
to stoke our own love to new heights, to places we’ve yet to know.

Shared fire, shared glow, sweet burning entwined around,
wonder of the binding, wonder of two souls afire.
Love is what you make of it, a work of art plus two who’s hearts abound,
finding the common places in every heart inspired.

there is much to say
yet I can't be there with you
sadness consumes me

we will meet again
my soul on fire for you
hopeless romantic
