My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I expect a lot of us have so much mixed blood we don't know who we come from. LOL! I'll stick with American of European ancestry, that covers a lot of territory!

On mom's side of the family there's her uncles (6) who are all redheads.
On dad's side of the family there's the thing with everyone being born with red hair and blue eyes.
(I was born with brown eyes and dark hair.)
Almost everyone else was born with blue eyes and redhair.
The redhair comes from dad's mom.
Her ancestry if German. (John Peter Bower from Hessen-Darmstadt. Served in Napoleon's stupid invasion of Russia and surived. After that war, he fled to the US. With his wife and child. my great-great grandfather on dad's side.)

"How's the job market were you are. It sucks rocks in OregonLets see, how to describe Minnesota, hummmmmmmm OK, I'll take a wack at it.
Imagine a land where the left hold sway, to such an extent they have overtaxed industry to the point its moving elesewhere rapidly. In order to keep their 'Pet Projects Funding' up their desired levels, they jack up property taxs until folks are streaming out of the cities for other places. To help keep employers here, they opened the door to welfare handouts to draw in a less qualified and lower pay labor pool from Africa (Somalia), and then raise the tax on companies, since they can make more money now. Jobs are to kill for, and anything paying over $10/hour goes to family members of politicians or special interest group types. All in all, Minnesota is a perfect example why socialist governments never works and collapes right along with their economy! Anbd conservatives here are fighting hard to change it but the left keep thinking there will always be more money for them to rake off to by votes! I have to look for a real job (Mechanical Designer/Drafter) outside the Land of 10,000 Liberal Idiots in Charge!
Well, if nothing else, we could always see if we could find a backer, and I could teach you to build V-8 powered Motorcycle trikes with me? ;^)

Damn, you sure you don't live in Oregon. Replace Somali's with Mexicans and that describes us to a "T".

Sick 'puter or not, I got brave (foolish?) and had to check out a little FR tonight. I'll be soooooo glad when I can do this regularly again.
I'm sure glad I checked tonight! Thanks for the ping, SAM!! You know me all too well, don'cha? LOL!!
SAM's right, Darkchylde.....I love your poem! Darkly beautiful and moving.
I don't want to push my luck with this 'puter so I'd better shut it down again. I am glad I gave in to the urge to get on for a moment or two tonight. I enjoyed the poem. Excellent!

Sunset

A day has ended and shows it's colors
A glorious creation every one unique
Introducing the calmness of the night
With promise of tomorrow to repeat
Hold on to the beauty life has to offer
The pain in life tends to wear you down
Endless losses with no one to return
The love that fills your heart unbound
Days will come and nights will come after
No one to count on or come to your rescue
Owe nothing to those that steal your sunset
In the end the only thing you have is you
You are the stars
You are the sunset
Live your dreams
And never regret

I'm thinking spring in San Diego would be nice.
Jeff will be moved out to NAS near Brian who by then should be settled in and the ship's OA office will be renovated, lots to see and do.
Instead of two and a half days, perhaps at least 5 would be in order. ;)

I'd love to see the crew again. What's spring like in San Diego?
5 days?! At least we can dream.

What's spring like in San Diego? Raining season is January/February. By March or April it will be just like it was when we were there in September. Weather doesn't change much down there.
5 days...a weekend and three work days, it could happen! ;)

Hey, I think I know that place. In the end the only thing you have is you...
And memories to cherish
Live your dreams
And never regret
This is a pleasant thought. Nice selection.

Remember when I mentioned hearing songs in dreams?
Songs that don't exist in waking life?
Here's some examples of such odd things (Unfortunately, no music to go to it.):
It's raining in Paris, on you and me
It's raining in Paris, oh don't you see
Lat's get ourselves back
to the home of the free
Change thse walls around
but where do we start
Change this thing around
and come back to my heart
And another:
i may be wrong, but you know i may be right
stay with me tonight
come home, get into the light
And a fragment that I wrote down even as it flew form my head:
I don't know how brown eyes could be so blue, For You.
I hate it when songs invade my dreams like that.
