Never heard of it or them. When I think of calypso, I'm thinking of things like the mid-50's song "All Day, All Night, Marianne", old things unencumbered by rock.

No, she likes country music. She's just spelling it phonetically by using a picture of the worst one in the US as the sound of the first syllable.

Then you need to show up with a little more regularity....
Some folks in here (who shall remain unnamed) are developing a good case for squatter's rights!

Using the Hildebeast's pic for that syllable is, IMO, an insult to c$#%s.

You're making me homesick...They played his rendition of Mr. Bojangles during the funeral for Gregory Hines last week.

Hey Miss Bella, did you hear Ozzy's rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" from Wrigley Field the other day? They were playing it on ESPN radio this morning and it was absolutely priceless.

I hated Bob Marley and that type calypso crap. I like steel drums and percussion instruments second only to strings.

Linda Vester ran it on her show too. What a pathetic creature(Ozzy, not Linda who is smarter than the average newsreader).

According to my resident musicologist, these were early Baroque composers. And I always say, "If it ain't Baroque, don't fix it!" Think of Dowland, the great English lute master. In fact, you couldn't do better than go to Amazon.com and find a collection of his works.

Oh I knew the joke and she gave it away for those who didn't, but still had to splain it to horneygrl cause she was in off mode but xs suggested that hobbes whould probably turn her back on. I'm tired of Shillery being called a b!tch BC it gives b!tches a bad name. So I suggested Toilet-Tree as a play on the woid toiletry

"I find it ironic that the pledge is a priority among legislators, instead of putting money into the schools," said Sarah Simmons, an English teacher at Hobby Middle School. "Ironic, but not surprising." Shouldn't an English teacher know the proper usage of the word 'ironic'?

My bad. I thought Electric Avenue was Bob Marley, but it was Eddr Grant.

Electric Avenue Eddy Grant

Down in the street there is violence
And a lots of work to be done
No place to hang out our washing
And I can't blame all on the sun, oh no

We gonna rock down to Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher
Oh we gonna rock down to Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher

Workin' so hard like a soldier
Can't afford a thing on TV
Deep in my heart I'm a warrior
Can't get food for them kid, good God

We gonna rock down to Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher
Oh we gonna rock down to Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher

Who is to blame in one country
Never can get to the one
Dealin' in multiplication
And they still can't feed everyone, oh no

We gonna rock down to Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher
Oh we gonna rock down to Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher

Out in the street...
Out in the street...
Out in the playground...
In the dark side of town...

We gonna rock down to Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher
Oh we gonna rock down to Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher

Rock it in the daytime
Rock it in the night ...
