Ah....There's the rub...! It's so hard to keep polishing the woodwork, isn't it?
But you have to have pity on those who do that sympathetic part of orchestrating the low brass and woodwinds, isn't it?

(The last good year was 1965. Not speaking of music, here. Since then the commies and that crowd have steadily taken over more and more...)

Not compared to the 80's and the 90's. The 60's and 70's rocked compared to the big hair 80's and the 90's offered only Alternative. I thought the alternative to music was silence, but maybe that's killing a mime in the forest or something like that.

If you're really fed up with musical emptiness, try some nice Renaissance rock. Real music for real people.
To: Flurry
Classical music. Except I don't care for bel canto opera, which bores me, Donizetti, Bellini, Rossini, early Verdi.
I guess my favourites are the big names (there's a reason they're big names), especially Brahms and Mahler but also Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Richard Strauss, Schubert, the Renaissance polyphonists, etc.
I stay away from country music discussions that break out around here. My opinion of country music, and current popular music, is equivalent to a Jew's opinion of Hitler.

Is that anything like that godawful New Age Hildegard of Bingen stuff that came out a few years ago? No thanks.

I'm afraid if the list was printed my hubby might see it somehow and get ideas.
