The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Sweetie, hate to disappoint you but I haven't had alcohol in over 10 years now Whoa...that would be tough...couldn't make it through these days here without me pints.
To: RMDupree
I'll take a Kahlua and Cream! Don't you wanna add a little vodka and amaretto to that?

Well, from what I can tell by coming in on the middle, it seems to be about tequillas and such. :O)

I like beer. I despise lite beers and anything in a can. Other than that, I drink it if it is cold. Except Budweiser, I'm still banning them since the incident on Easter Sunday when they supported the 'Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence' parade in California. disgusting
My favorite is Fat Tire. But I like a lot of others too.

Guess I'm a girly girl And I bet you like an umbrella in your drink.

(*I mean, I would hate to have some of MY inanities dredged up too...yeesh...and I go as far back as 1998...I was under a different nick...I signed up with this one because i couldnt remember the password for the other...) Oh my. I did the same thing!!! *looks down*

Grant's Scottish Ale, Pyramid Snow Cap, Engine House #9 Scottish Ale (a local brew from Tacoma -- can't get it in bottles, only from the cask-conditioned tap at the brewhouse, worth the trip, especially if you have frequent flyer miles).

And I bet you like an umbrella in your drink. Welll...
Would I redeem myself at all if I told ya I have a bottle of this in the cabinet at home?

Then again, it's been there for at least seven or eight months and is still more than three quarters full...so maybe that doesn't help matters any.
To: RosieCotton
Grama liked that a lot. They were good friends. REAL good friends. But, her bottles only lasted a week at a time.

Never tried it! Maybe I will. :)
Vodka scares me though...I always get sick on it for some reason, no matter how little of it I drink.

From the looks of it, they have plenty of chairs and I'll be bringing balnkets and such as well. :)

This particular pic of Billy in the kilt is I think my favorite one I've seen of him.

Once in a while I'll have a little. And I like knowing it's there if I want some. But I only have to have one small drink of anything before I start feeling it...and I don't like that feeling.
I'm a lightweight, I guess!

Speaking of umbrellas in drinks, I make a pretty good Planter's Punch. The damn things are pink, from the grenadine, which strikes me as somewhat "elfy." But they taste wonderful anyway, especially after a long hot day out on the ocean.
Hemingway liked daiquiris, but insisted on no sugar in them, which I suppose he thought got rid of the girly part.
