The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I may eat another bagel. Go ahead 2J. Take a walk on the wild side.
To: Wneighbor
At least one of the times it was in the wrong gear. I finally got it over to the side of the road, and I sat there and prayed and then thirty seconds later I got it into gear.

Heh...that actually sounds like a pretty tasty meal to me! Mmmm...spinach. I like the frozen stuff, though. Cooked and then with a little vinegar drizzled on.
I think I'll have sardines for dinner!

I had a Saturn SL2 for several years. DOHC engine, 5 speed. I could just about light the tires anytime I tried. Vey fun car to drive.

Here are several pictures of Matthew working with Steve on learning knife safety as part of his cub scouts.
First, Steve tells him all about knives. "Note the beveled edge?"
Here, Matthew is learning how to sharpen the knife, using a sharpening stone...
Now Matthew is learning how to do shaves and stop cuts...
Now it's time to push up your sleeves and carve a bear in the soap!
The completed bear...(with some help from Steve...but not much!)

I'm pretty sure Jr's was pretty much unrecognizable. ... nevermind...
To: g'nad
Yep...nary a cut! Now they worked on this VERY slowly all afternoon and just chipped away at it...you can see in the way Steve is hovering over him. The knife was Steve's pocket knife...they looked at the bigger, not so sharp knife, but actually carved with Steve's very sharp knife.

Tell him good job!
ARGH! The other programmer finally handed me my bug fixes. On his way out the door. On a business trip. And it majorly broke my software. I have to roll back at least three dozen files, one at a time, before I can do any more work.

Well, it looks more like a pig to me...shhhhh!
But I love it. I mean, I love it! Every time I walk in the dining room I can smell it and I grin.
He has his den meeting tonight where he shows it off.
