The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Rosie - please note that not only was I not disparaging bagpipes, I stuck up for them as one of perhaps the two best instruments ever. Will there be bagpipes at Entmoot? Oh, I know you were sticking up for 'em! I just wanted to ping you. We need a CC: funtion here!
I'm not sure if he'll bring his pipes or not. He'll almost certainly WANT to.
Good morning! You're probably already off.

You know another way you can use the multi-chart is to old it back and let him test, then give it to him so he can check his own answers.
Cross multiplication is fun. I used to try to use it on EVERYTHING.

Good luck Scott! It is a fast world you are living in!

Morning all; back from the walk, crisp 32 degrees, all is still quiet in the 'shire'.
Rosie; don't know why rubber coverings
were taken out of pickups and vans; same with window vents. Sometime in the late 70's or early 80's I think. Ford is bringing the rubber flooring back in their basic pickup next year. But considering the debris, flotsam and jetsam, and debbitage that accumulate in work trucks and family vans I think it would make sense. I know I'd prefer to have floor mats in my '95 p.u.
Jen: good luck on the gre's today, LSA and I took them in '73. Then, if you left the test room (auditorium) you didn't get back in. period. so the fact we did so well on one small cup of coffee has always amazed us.
ecurbh; you never know the neighbors may like the pipes skirling at twilight, surf pounding in the background.

Awwww, you guys are sweet to miss me. I miss you guys too. Why can't I have more than 24 hours in a day?

45 mile bike ride eh?
Let us know if you want a ride home!
ecurbh ~looks~ sortof 'at home'. :~D
To: HairOfTheDog; ecurbh
Indeed, I'm feeling the desire (strongly) already for it to be slower (the move will likely take care of all that). But this week it all peaks (last week seemed like a peak too!)
I'm packing the garage today, and maybe getting a garage door opener set up in the new house...garages are the theme of the day. Tomorrow, it's get a refrigerator. We're getting pretty far along on the packing...it really helps that we aren't pack-rats.
Ecurbh: If today is dress hunting day, you need to find a convenient place to disappear to: Women are not quite normal when coming back from such an excursion.

ecurbh; you never know the neighbors may like the pipes skirling at twilight, surf pounding in the background. Hmmmm....could be the Ghost Piper lost at sea. His pipes come wafting over the waves.
Internet fare MCI to Orlando...$129 one way. Or promotional fare $72 if you travel on Sat., Tues., Wed.

Hi Suzi - I am pretty sure I saw your son at GREs. Actually virtually certain but he was with a whole bunch of people and I didn't want to freak him out.
The test was kinda miserable for me. Not quite what I had expected. I think I did ok though... there were probably close to thirty people taking it, and only two other women...
