The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

You're welcome! ~grin~

I don't think they do that. We usually just wait and get it off the shelf.

I don't see where they are...

Y'know... I used to think being a mom was just a little boring and that small children are, er, maddening. But after two days of meetings, I've gotta say it's looking more and more appealing...

I'm looking around--
When FOTREEgift was released, I expected to see it at Blockbuster and in the bookstores--but it was nowhere to be found in my county. Had to go to BestBuy in the next county, and I called first and they just had a couple on hand!
So, I thought this time I'd line up my copy ahead of time. Amazon would be a good deal if they got it to me on the day of release...but mail is an uncertain thing...(g)...
To: Mamzelle
Huh... I live in populous suburbs and drive a lot anyway, so picking the film up at a local store is not a problem for me.
Mail is uncertain, but.... Amazon has a very very good track record of getting "hot" items delivered on the right day. When the last "Harry Potter" book was released, they delivered something like a half-million books that same day...

After coffee - OHHHHH, 'IT"!! Yeah, cool.

re: Harry Potter and Amazon
Have to hand it to Amazon with that one--that was fun, wasn't it! I had one mailed to a child at summer camp, and it arrived on the release date. Was told that the little "post office" was piled with Amazon boxes.
I also read that LOTR is responsible for pushing Amazon into the black for the first time.
To: Mamzelle
Hee... that sounds great! I went to Borders with my siblings for their midnight release party, and we read the whole rest of the weekend...
Amazon's been doing pretty well lately. I have an order that should greet me when I get home tonight... got a hardcover for 40% off, which is enough for me!

Thanks! That's what I had in mind!
Hobbit Hole Dwellers, we're coming upon Veteran's Day ... let's post pictures of our veterans.
Ramius, you do look a little shell-shocked!
