The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…

Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

The Road Goes Ever On…

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Looks nice!! Y'all done good! I'm sure the chickens are happy now that they can get out and run around again. Can you go out in your yard in your PJs now?

Yeah, steak.

No, but I've wanted to try. Be cool to have the t-shirt.

Several years ago, I did a 9 day backpack trip in Wyoming. When we came out, we went to the steakhouse in town. The choice of sizes were: small, medium and large. I almost got the large. When the dinners were brought out, the first steak overlapped the plate about 2" all around. It was a large. Turns out the sizes were 16oz (small), 24oz (medium) and 32oz(large). I finished mine and was thankful for the wisdom to not order the big one.

Feel free! I like rabbit food, but only in moderation... man, what I'd do for some pecan pie.

There used to be a place just west of Waco in Bosqueville that had chicken fried steaks that were served on serving platters with the steak hanging over all the way around. Myranda and I used to go there/ split one and have stuff to bring home for the dog. It was quite a popular little hole in the wall. But, lots of folks wouldn't go there cause of the look of the place.

That was the regular size steak. I never checked out the large.
