The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…

Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

The Road Goes Ever On…

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Amazing.... You know when I was in college, none of us even had computers in our 'dorm' rooms, let alone some internet. And I didn't miss them!

They miss them. Big time. Some of them got downright nasty when on Friday I had to say they might not be connected until Saturday evening!

Now...I'm pretty addicted, but I know better than to cuss out the people who might be able to fix me up. Not a good idea. ;)

Now working on a computer in the TV dept. No one is in, and it's almost dark in the studio, except for all the pretty lights on the equipment. It's kinda spooky.

You mean we have to eat that thing? Guess I better pick some garlic from the garden to cook it in. Where'd you hide the butter?

LOL!

Though I must say, it's amazing the things that garlic and butter can make palatable!

If, after I leave, mother is still having trouble, I am leaving her the case number and a phone number. I wash my hands of it.

BTW, garlic is a good touch. We're also going to need onions and pepper.

And oh yes, the butter is under the sour cream next to the milk.

You are welcome at any time. We would love to take you fishing sometime.

You got a deal girl. Can't say a time right now but with my school schedule I get 3 times a year when I have very long weekends - 6 days. That would be long enough for me to drive down on a Friday, and come back on Sunday. If that would work with y'all. I would love it! If it works with you.

Nope, my tattoo parlor is between a spa and a upscale hair salon.

Pawnshop that I used to go to is across the street from the grocery store.

Yes, I can do that. I'll post a couple examples of what I can do here, since I don't have my web page of samples up yet.

I'll freepmail some further information when I get to work...gotta get out the door here.

I'm thinking a little more than playin' quarters went on in your dorm room.

We had our coffee and my blueberry muffins, then started to work on the fence, in spite of the fact it was still drizzliing! It's rained off and on all morning and was coming down pretty hard just a while ago, so we took the opportunity to come in and eat lunch. Slacking off again...so we'll have to finish that fence in between downpours!

It looks great, I'm uploading pics to York...will post in a few.

Those frog folks across the pond do it with snails. Can't say I'd ever want to try 'em though.

Different type of dolphin, right Sam? Type of fish. But you're just kiddin' Sam, right? ;)

I remember they ate dolphin fish a LOT in Kon-tiki. That's about the limit of my knowledge of the things...

I sure hope there weren't any helpless tuna caught up in that dolphin net.;-)

I think your vivid imagination is probably better than life, so I will just leave your visions undisturbed! :~D

I'll try just about anything once...but I'm not sure about snails.

On the other hand, I knew a guy that LOVED 'em. He seemed relatively normal.

I'm thinkin' he really just loved butter and garlic, but wanted to seem high class...
