Eric's REAL guitar (a very nice Taylor) is sitting safe and secure in the living room. I bought him an inexpensive, but adequate Fender just for the purpose of letting him keep up his playing skills. He loves to play John Mayer stuff (I still can't listen to him without tears), Beatles tunes, and his own songs.

btw, THANK you for your service to this country.......and thank your parents for me, too!

Thanks so much for your continued updates about Eric. I keep him ( and y'all) in my prayers, with a special one for a quick return home.

Our daughter is fixing to join a Senior Girl Scout troop. Our town split the only Cadette troop into two groups and there will be 10 girls in her troop. Would it be OK if they sent goodie boxes and letters to Eric? I'll ask them when we get together for the first time next week.

Somehow I don't think he'd MIND getting a care package from them, but let me know! ;o)

Thanks for sharing such a wonderful and personal story. God Bless Eric and all of our young men and women who sacrifice so much for their country. Until one serves during peace or war it is difficult to understand how great those sacrifices are. My prayers will now include Eric by name instead of being lumped into "Our Troops". Thanks Again.

Great Story...I pray everyday that all of these fine men and women can come home soon. I know the feeling all too well when you havent heard from them and you sit and worry yourself sick that something is wrong, and cry like a baby when they do call. The 101st homecoming has been delayed once again, it was suppose to be sometime in Sept. but has been pushed back to whenever.

Ohio....the best guess we have is to watch for when the 3rd ID comes home, they will follow a couple of months afterwards. 3rd ID was on the plane in Baghdad ready to come home and got yanked off. First in, First out rule applies here
