What a wonderful young man. My prayers are with Eric and with your family. I also pray for our men and women in uniform.
As the retired Marine wife, I followed my Marine around for 13 years. Six months after we were married, we had Gulf War I.
Keep us updated. My prayers will always be with Eric. May the Lord continue to bless him, and may He send His angels to surround Eric every where he goes.

Some of the young men that we know who went to Iraq have started to come home. It depends on the MOS I'm sure. Hopefully, Eric will be able to come home soon...

Eric is covered with the LORD's feathers, and has found refuge under HIS wings!

The other son is doing well, corewrecked. He has recovered from his mugging wounds, and concussion, and is home safe with us for the summer.

He has no memory of what actually happened, so is being protected in part from the trauma.

God is good, and He is faithful!

He says he won't believe he's coming home until he's on the plane. I think that's pretty much the best thing to do right now.

We heard from the Commander that there is 'no end date.' That doesn't seem too promising to me.....

I have 3 grandsons, ages 3, 9 and 10. I only hope and pray they will turn out just like Eric. Wow! What a wonderful young man you've brought up. Thank you.

Wow, I can't believe it has only been a year. It seems like much longer, probably a lifetime to you. I know of a few young men who are still over there, and Eric is one of them. I think of him when mention is made of the soldiers that are there, and I say little prayers all the time for them. You too. We are proud of your son.

I've had him in my prayers since I saw your post saying that he was going to Iraq, and will continue to hold him, and all of our troops who are in harm's way, in my prayers until he returns home.

How proud you must be at his accomplishments...
