What do you think?

Condi is "reluctantly" pro-choice. Until I know more about what this means (she is refusing to talk about it, but will as a candidate), I will be for her. When she explains herself farther (to vote pro-choice) or (as I suspect) renounces that stance, I will decide for/against her. Until this is explained, I have to go with her. If she intends to remain pro-choice, then I am wrong.
Are you willing to take someone who is less of a threat to H. Clinton and is pro-life while Condi can defeat Clinton while she votes pro-life no matter what her convictions are? I think as long as she runs pro-life, she is tons better than Clinton.
I like the "Rice/Bush 2008" ticket right now.

Bush/Rice 2004; Rice/Bush (Jeb) 2008 & 2012.

Jeb in 2008 (for either office) would be a HUGE mistake. It would play right into the Libs hands. Give them plenty of ammunition; talk of a dynasty and the like. Alot of people would see it their way too, since it does look awfully suspicious. I wouldn't mind seeing Rice on the ticket, though.

Condi may not fit the profile of a national leader but! It doesn't mater who is in the leadership position, its who they appoint that maters. This was told to me by a Democrat Biggie when Clinton was running for his first term. Does Clinton fit the profile of a national leader? I think not. Nor did he appoint really qualified people and we need not get into that discussion. I think Condi has the country's interest at heart not her ego. She'll do fine, she knows who to appoint to the cabinet.

Bush has already said he'll keep Cheney on the ticket, as well he should. It would be up to Cheney as to whether he feels up to another term. I hope he does.

I agree. And she will appoint pro-Roe judges.

Therefore she does not belong in the White House.

Period.

I will only vote for candidates who are on the record as opposing abortion on demand.

If a candidate has doubts about the sanctity of human life, I will not vote for that candidate.

Great idea - leave murder up to a vote. Splendid.

And just so we're clear: I don't really care if many moderate Republicans support rape or theft, either. It's still wrong.

Rice is pro-abortion.

I've heard this repeated here on FR many times, but I've not seen confirmation of it, and based on much of what I've read about and by her I doubt that it is true. I could be wrong on this, but until I hear her take a pro-abortion position on record, I withhold judgment on this one.

10 years ago I was pro-choice, now I am pro-life. Would you not vote for me?

I did a Google search on her when this was brought up and that's where I saw the line that she was "reluctantly" pro-choice. They said in the same article that she would come out pro-life should she run.

I love the idea of Bush/Rice in 2004. UNLESS she is Pro-choice. Gonna check to see what i can find immediately after posting this.

But Bush will never "dump" Cheney -- Loyalty.
Now if Cheney would be kicked upstairs, to Ambassador-of-the-World-In-Chief, or some other important position....

Could find nothing about Condolezza Rice's abortion views, though I looked thru hundreds of articles.

Did find this "I hold a sort of "pure 2nd Amendment view to the right to bear arms". This was based on racial attacks she witnessed as a child in Alabama.

Also she was a personal friend of one of the little girls killed in the Birmingham church bombing in 1963, when she was 8 years old.

I say a Bush/Rice ticket. That would really make Hitlery very very mad.

Hitlery would have to run against Condi/Bush in 2008, and again in 2012.

After that, who would care if Clinton is the first white woman elected president. ;)
