We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Yesterday was highlighted by the largest number of sorties flown by Allied aircraft since the start of the war - 1,800. Many of these missions were directed against Fedeyeen Saddam, Presidential Palaces, and Republican Guard units in and around Baghdad.

Iraq reportedly fired two missiles at the Kurdish capital of Salahad Din; both missed their intended targets.

Saddam and his sons appeared on Iraqi TV in a tape the Iraqi state-run network says is "new."

Coalition forces have fired more than 8,000 precision-guided munitions into Iraq--3,000 of them in just the last three days.

Kuwati officials said a Patriot missile was fired yesterday, but it did not make contact with any incoming missile.

A Navy S-3B Viking malfunctioned on the Constellation and slid off the flight deck into the Persian Gulf. Both pilots were rescued.

A US Marine shot and killed an Iraqi POW after the latter had rushed the American and tried to commandeer a weapon.

The Red Cross has met with Iraqi POWs and intends to hold more meetings this week.

Five Iraqi recruits from south Iraq, who apparently didn't get the word Iraq is on the verge of winning the war, surrendered in northern Iraq. They said there were many more who want to surrender, but won't because of the regime's death squads.

Iraqi Republican Guards have holed up in two cities south of Baghdad in the hopes of luring American forces into urban combat.

Three days after starting a $1.5 billion drive for food aid to Iraq, the World Food Program has already collected $300 million.

A pipeline has started to deliver fresh water from Kuwait to Umm Qasr.

Peter Arnett has been hired by the very ultra radical left-wing hate-everyting-that-is-western Daily Mirror out of London.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, North Korea fired an anti-ship missile, Japan reported. No further details, other than a report this has been typical North Korean behavior of late, were available.

And always remember not to let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

America – The Right Way!!
The Daily Update – April 1, 2003

REMEMBER THE TRADE CENTER!!

AMERICA’S WAR ON TERROR – Day 568

THE WAR ON IRAQ – Day 13

The news as reported in The Washington Times:

[Note – All links go to The Washington Times’ website.]

1. The first ground clashes in the current conflict have occurred between US military forces and the Republican Guards of Iraq.

[There are indications this contact is beginning to go the way of the contact in the Persian Gulf War.]

Army clashes with elite forces

2. Peter Arnett was fired from NBC after he gave an interview with Iraqi TV.

[Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.]

NBC fires reporter Arnett after interview on Iraqi TV

3. Iraqis in the north are greeting American forces with unrestrained enthusiasm, as opposed to the south.

[Well, the north didn’t get screwed over 12 years ago.]

Iraqis in north not afraid to show enthusiasm for GIs

4. Women make up some 20% of the military police units in Iraq.

[I bet that has to cheese off some of the hard core Iraqi POWs.]

As military police, women can do it all

5. It’s all right to send bibles to loved ones serving in Iraq, but one should not send political propaganda, pornography, or pork.

[The first two I can understand, but what’s with the last one? It’s for American soldiers, not Iraqis.]

Bibles OK, but '3 P's' prohibited

6. Washington DC EMS response rate is declining.

[It helps when they don’t get lost.]

Response rate of EMS declines

7. South Korea hailed a diplomatic trip to the United States as helping to strengthen 50-year-old defense ties.

[But the South has nothing to worry about. The North has said the current crisis is all the fault of the United States.]

S. Korean's U.S. trip hailed back home

We shall not rest until we have cut a swath 60-miles wide through the entire left - taking all that is before us with us as we go. We shall leave nothing to the enemy that may be of value to him. We shall show him that he may count on nothing and will be able to keep nothing, not his spirit, not his soul, not that upon which he shall feed. We shall not cease until the moment we have rent through their entire land and have arrived at the sea, with our glorious victory upon us.
