As Saddam deadline expires, no Bush speech announced

US President Bush's 48 hour ultimatum for Saddam Hussein to leave Iraq or face military attack has expired.

The White House has led the media to understand that President Bush will only appear again in public after hostilities have commenced.

No appearance has yet been announced to the media.
