This is a thread for people who want to support a nationwide boycott of the Dixie Chicks for their unbelievable statements in another country!
Here in Virginia, I have yet to hear any of their songs and wish to keep it that way for a long long time.
There are a lot of websites out there with on-line polls that will respond to a good FReepin'. This is the place for FReepers to post links to radio station websites.
Let's roll!!!

This is ClearChannel Radio's flagship. If you don't know who ClearChannel is, they own more stations than anyone in the U.S.

I already disliked the Dixie Hicks. This is yet another affirmation of why I do.

I emailed WCOL in Columbus, OH. This is the reply I got from one of the DJ's
Keith-
Thanks for your note! Although shocking, but maybe not so shocking of Natalie Maines comments on George Bush, in the end the public will decide if she shot herself in the foot by making those comments and not buying Dixie Chicks cd's...
Agree or disagree, she, like every other American has a constitutional right to their own opinion.
Thanks again for your concern and I do understand your frustration at a time like this.

in case you guys didn't know, you made the AOL front page?
ok ok, so FR wasn't mentioned specifically, but I think we all know who the mass emails and messages to the sponsors are coming from ;)

Don't trash their CD's! Sell them at a garage sale or on EBAY, and PREVENT someone else from buying a new copy and giving these skanks another royalty payment. Then if you like, donate the proceeds to the Boy Scouts, or the Bush campaign, and send the Dixie Skanks a note about what you did and why.

Here is the reply I got from Lipton.
"Dear:
Thanks so much for writing!
We are writing in response to your comments regarding our sponsorship of the Dixie Chicks, "Top of the World Tour". We certainly apologize and are grateful you have chosen to share your thoughts.
As a manufacturer we feel it is a major responsibility to provide our friends and consumers with the most creative and entertaining means of sponsorship possible.
We have a long history of presenting "tasteful" advertising, promotional, and sponsorship efforts to the public. We certainly do not wish to offend anyone. In developing our promotional efforts, Unilever and its agencies may not always anticipate all possible implications of a specific campaign.
We will certainly forward your comments to the Marketing staff. Consumer comments are very important and evaluated on a regular basis.
We do thank you for your interest!"
