I am a newbie to F.R. I am having trouble downloading a photo on Ebay. I use a Kodak easy share digital camera. The photo is too large to download. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks, sorry for the noninformational thread, but there are many computer wizards at F.R.

Make the photo smaller in a program that you can use for photo editing. Then depending where you host the photo upload it to ebay or to your host.
Does that help at all?

Photo editing software you could use:
Photoshop
Photoshop Elements(if you have a newer computer that comes with it)
The photo software that probably came with your camera.

Get a copy of Paint Shop Pro. Start the application. Go to FILE on the menu bar. Select the OPEN option. Find your file and open it. Go to the IMAGE option on the menu bar. Select the RESIZE option from the menu. Put in a width in pixels (I use 180 for Ebay). Make sure the little box title "MAINTAIN ASPECT RATIO" is checked. Click OK and then SAVE AS a GIF or JPEG.
That should reduce your file size to an acceptable level. You can get a trial version of Paint Shop Pro from www.shareware.com

See Arkinsaw's post.
More than likely though, your camera came with appropriate software that is easy to use.

The Kodak Easy Share comes with Photo software and picture editing software. Just make the photo smaller.
If all else fails, send the photo to me and I'll make it smaller for you.
