Make the photo smaller in a program that you can use for photo editing. Then depending where you host the photo upload it to ebay or to your host.
Does that help at all?

Get a copy of Paint Shop Pro. Start the application. Go to FILE on the menu bar. Select the OPEN option. Find your file and open it. Go to the IMAGE option on the menu bar. Select the RESIZE option from the menu. Put in a width in pixels (I use 180 for Ebay). Make sure the little box title "MAINTAIN ASPECT RATIO" is checked. Click OK and then SAVE AS a GIF or JPEG.
That should reduce your file size to an acceptable level. You can get a trial version of Paint Shop Pro from www.shareware.com
