In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
chimerical\ky-MER-ih-kuhl; -MIR-; kih-\, adjective:
1. Merely imaginary; produced by or as if by a wildly fanciful imagination; fantastic; improbable or unrealistic.
2. Given to or indulging in unrealistic fantasies or fantastic schemes.
Her name is Dulcinea; her country El Toboso, a village in La Mancha; her degree at least that of Princess, for she is my Queen and mistress; her beauty superhuman, for in her are realized all the impossible and chimerical attributes of beauty which poets give to their ladies. --Miguel De Cervantes, Don Quixote. Etymology: Chimerical is ultimately derived from Greek khimaira, "she-goat" or "chimera," which in Greek mythology was a monster having the head of a lion, the body of a goat, and the tail of a dragon.

I actually have homework today!!!!!!
I thought I had seen everything when it comes to the chimerical propenseties of some members of the legal profession - but I swear this takes the case:
Fired Ursuline teacher files federal discrimination complaint
I don't care how anyone stands on the issue of abortion, however, when you work for a Catholic school you do NOT put your name on a full page ad in the local newspaper celebrating the 30th anniversary of roe v. Wade and not expect consequences.
I don't know who this woman thinks she is - but i sure wish we had a loser pay rule in this country. Because if anyone deserves to lose a frivolous lawsuit it is her.

yesterday eloquent assertion and as to Fred Durst, the phi beta kappa of Limp Biskit, looking for AGREEANCE on the need for this war to "go away", and then pining for brittney. i don't know WHICH is more embarassing for him.

Curay-Cramer, who had worked at Ursuline for 18 months, said she was surprised Hmmmmmm.....one wonders what her previous employment history was, and why she chose that particular institution, Did she have this design in mind...?

Oh, I don't know. I can agree with both issues.
One he ain't the greatest looking (and as we all know now the birghtest) guy so pining for Brtiney, is logical.
And I would hope we all concur in the desire for this war to be prosecuted as quickly as possible....(though I don't think he meant it quite that way...)
Sorry, though I still think Limp Bizkit sucks. Just can't dig it.

I've got no clue - but I do remember her saying that when the story first hit the papers.
to me it is a no brainer - If you work for a credit card company that charges outrageous interest rates you do not sign on to an advertisement in the paper to that effect without expecting employment repercussion. so when you work for a Catholic School you should expect repercussions if you publicly speak out in defiance of the teachings of the Catholic church.
But what's really super bad about this - one of the classes she taught was RELIGION.

oh i would be in that school with bells on, were i a parent of a child being taught by that woman.
because it is an independent school and not a diocesan school, i suppose they are not answerable to the bishop. Not that that would impact on the legal situation.
