Britain's role is crucial in next stage of war on terror - Iran
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/858685/posts
Well-connected advisers tell me that if, as now seems likely, the UN refuses to back action against terror, Mr Bush will announce a "temporary" suspension of America's membership, to be accompanied by an offer: if the UN gets its act together and carries out long-overdue reforms, America (and its money) will return. But if there is no reform, the temporary withdrawal will, de facto, become permanent.

Pretty place you live Valerie.
I've only spent a little time in Texas, a couple of weeks doing exploration in New Mexico-Texas border area and once flew in to Houston and drove to Mexico via Larado to look at some mining properties. All I recall is I was with some nuts and we drank a "couple" of beers and ate some great barbeque. Seems I vaguely recall a lot of blue flowers hanging around.

Young longhorn grazing
As historian Jack Maguire so aptly wrote, "It's not only the state flower but also a kind of floral trademark almost as well known to outsiders as cowboy boots and the Stetson hat." He goes on to affirm that "The bluebonnet is to Texas what the shamrock is to Ireland, the cherry blossom to Japan, the lily to France, the rose to England and the tulip to Holland."
Good morning everyone.

Mountains, where are the mountains??Well, to tell the truth, we sold them to the US Govt.
The Republic of Texas originally included about half of New Mexico, Colorado, Montana and Wyoming. When we joined the Union in 1845, we traded that territory to the US in exchange for the US assuming all of our debts.
It was a pretty good deal at the time, the Skiing and tourist industry wasn't bringing in any money, and we had a low tolerance for sheep and goat herders.

I normally never post jokes because usually I'm the only person in the world who hasn't heard it...but here goes:
Before the inauguration, George Bush was invited to a get-acquainted tour of the White House. After drinking several glasses of iced tea, he asked Bill Clinton if he could use his personal bathroom. George was astonished to see that the President had a solid gold urinal.
That afternoon, George told his wife, Laura, about the urinal. "Just think," he said," when I am President, I'll get to have a gold urinal!"
Later, when Laura had lunch with Hillary at her tour of the White House, she told Hillary how impressed George had been with his discovery of the fact that in the President's private bathroom, the President had a gold urinal.
That evening, Bill and Hillary were getting ready for bed. Hillary turned to Bill and said, "Well, I found out who pissed in your saxophone.

Outstanding - thanks for that one. I'd not heard it, and I guess I'm next to last on most jokes.
