Grammy Awards, Live Thread! Let the parade of fools begin.

BB King was just asked about political comments during the war and he said "I think that there are going to be alot of things said tonight that I don't agree with."

Way to go B.B!

The MAN IN DRESS! is reference to Harvey Firestein in case you are on the left coast (or not watching).

Is anybody more flamingly boring than Robin Williams?

No. But has any one seen the One Hour Photo movie? Good? Bad? You can write me privately since this isn't a movie thread.

"Best concern hands down for me was years ago,,Willie Nelson,,he is fabulous in concert."

Stoned or straight? When I saw him he was so stoned that he couldn't remember the lyrics of some songs. It was pitiful.

Thing is, Perahia's etudes will never stack up against Pollini's. But god, his Goldberg variations from a couple of years back were really as good as I've heard. I prefer Gould in many ways, but this recording is just as good. (if you don't already own it -- get it!) I'm surprised it didn't win a grammy, to tell the truth.

Feel the gin

My boyfriend is in the Air Force and deployed to the ME.

Hmmm, hope these ladies don't distract him! Posted for the ladies (and men) in case they missed it last night:

Ladies' night over Afghanistan

Oh! I don't expect much anti-war activism on display at the Grammys anyway. Musicians are quite a diverse lot. I mean, some of them are activist types, but a lot of your hard rock musicians aren't political (in public) at all, and a lot of your country artists are very patriotic.

It's the actors who are the real pains in the ass.

Sounds like ax-grinding to me.

Ahhh - Harvey. I'm trying not to watch (studying), but I got sucked in. I have no will-power.

I'm not quite left-coast (I'm in Colorado, Tancredo country).
