I wrote to CBS, thanking them for warning me in advance that the Grammys would be a political rally rather than light entertainment featuring my favorite musical talents, and telling them I would therefore not bother watching.

And you are exactly right. Furthermore, this could be a "Paul Wellstone Funeral Rally" fiasco for CBS. They may be rudely reminded that the majority of Americans support President Bush in his efforts to oust Saddam.
