Yikes...how did that happen. I wrote a note about taxes and the BS about the snow posted.

On taxes; we pay taxes in both the USA and Chile, but my company compensates us for the difference between what we would be paying in the US and what we pay here. The compensation amount is taxable, natch.
The company provides us with a housing allowance, vehicle, and utilities, which are converted to US dollars and are counted as taxable income. They also provide employees with tax preparation assistance...we use one of the big outfits...Arthur Anderson I think, and they manage to weasel the gross down to something we can live with... Mas o menos.

Got a question .. remember when you said a while ago that the chemicals Saddam lose it's effect when the temps are high What did you mean and how do you know this?
I mean that in the desert heat, the air is calm and chemical weapons would not disperse much beyond the initial release spot. I know this because I was a Munitions Systems Specialist in the Air Force and had plenty of chem warfare training.
