Cable lights on the Waco suspension bridge over the Brazos.

You've broadened your lens into nice industrial photography - a very lucrative field, btw.

OCC, when I said "They looked more like 60's Viet Nam war protesters." I meant the very same people, still on the very same streets. Only now they are rilly old, and look silly in bellbottoms and tiedye...

I made 1265 about a year and a half ago using a photo I took of the cable lights and my favorite plug-in filter by Flaming Pear: aetherize.

Different decade, same ideology.

Nice Valerie. Who would have thought dim bulbs would be so photogenic.

Funny night in the Andes.
After how many months up here, the food has a boring sameness and it's increasingly more difficult to head for the mess hall every night. I now bring peanuts and granola to munch on for almost every meal. But once a month now the caterer has an International night where they try to feature food from a defferent country every month. Good idea!
One month Chinese, the next Mexican...love the effort even though the chow tastes pretty much like every other night. About the only really unique thing they come up with is pretty clever decorations...fake cactus and the waiters wearing giant sombreros.
Well tonight was Arabian night, which caused me no small amount of grumbling. The folks in charge outdid themselves, they brought from town three of the prettiest little ladies who delighted the all-male group of well over 300 with their interpretation of the "Dance of the Seven Veils",(with six in the wash). The food tasted just like Mexican or Chinese night, but the entertainment was a hoot. Guess who had to get up and dance with the sweeties, causing the whole place to roll on the floor in laughter.
Just to let you know how much fun can be had in weird places.
