The Guild 2-7-2003 Night O' the Freaks

Posted on 02/07/2003 5:36:39 AM PST by BigWaveBetty

That was some Thursday night! Two freak shows in one four hour period.

First up was Michael Jackson, very, very disturbing. If you were fortunate enough to miss it you can read what you missed on Hillary's Lovely Legs Live Michael Jackson thread.

Then later on Larry King Alive we were treated to the other king o' the freaks, William Jefferson Clinton. Read the transcript here.

As usual it was all about him. Me, me, me, I, I, I. Particularly amusing was this quote concerning North Korea:

We had a tough time with them, but we got them to end that program and they kept it ended until apparently today they started again.

Uh no bill, they never shut down their nuke program you unbelievably stupid worm.

Here's one about The Liebary that went right over stupid's head:

KING: We have a little advance here to show you. Kind of a virtual tour, a quick virtual tour of what will be the William Jefferson Clinton Library. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CLINTON: Our of Democracy must be not only the envy of the world, but the engine of our own renewal. There is nothing wrong with America that cannot be cured by what is right with America.

A leader who guided America through a period of great transition. This presidency will forever be captured at the 12th presidential library. The William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Center and Park.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

KING: Kind of cooky.

CLINTON: That's easy. That's my DVD. [Whoooosh! Didn't catch that kind of cooky (should be spelled kooky ya stupid CNN kooks!)comment eh bill? Bill was too busy being proud of himself.]

KING: Where's it going to be?

CLINTON: In Little Rock. Right on the Arkansas River.

A night of freaks, that's what Thursday night was!

NY Times headline yesterday:
U.S. ECONOMY IN WORST HIRING SLUMP IN 20 YEARS

NY Times headline today:
UNEMPLOYMENT RATE FALLS TO 5.7% AS JOB GROWTH SURGES

[how disappointed they must be at the Times...]

Cintoon = Wolf boy!

E - Ready for New Zealand in two years... gotta kick that remaining rug rat out first. ;-) I hate it when I'm responsible.

They also have snow skiing and many waterfalls and mountains to explore.

Everybody come with us!

Hmmph, I'd say it's a Tampax in a teapot!

BWB, if I weren't so darn tired from being a domestic goddess today, I'd hop on the first catamaran to NZ with yinz guys. Finished remodeling the walk-in closet, including two coats of paint on the woodwork, assembled new clothing racks, returned all my clothes and shoes and stuff to the closet, played b-ball for an hour, put a roast in the oven, mixed up a meatloaf for the f-i-l and still had time to visit the Guild a time or two for the latest news and information about Bubba, Jacko and strange museums. It's scary to think how productive one might be without the distraction of the internet.

Tidbits and trinkets from x42's appearance on LKL:

"I still hope the United Nations can act together on this, and I still think there's a chance we can, and there's still a chance that Saddam Hussein will come to his senses and disarm," Clinton said. ...[Yeah, that's going to happen]

Clinton said Pyongyang would have 100 nuclear weapons by now if his administration had not reached the Framework Agreement with North Korea in 1994. [Oh, okay, thanks] ....

Clinton, who is now gathering material to write his memoirs, [Shouldn't a first draft have gone to the publisher by now?] said he doesn't regret not being president anymore, although he misses the work. ...

Regarding the space shuttle Columbia disaster last week, Clinton said it was he who gave the final approval for Ilan Ramon, the first Israeli astronaut to go into space, to join the Columbia crew. [Is there anything left for which this man has not taken credit?] CNN

Just got back from the gym and no one was aware we were on 'orange alert'. Most of them didn't even know what it was but they were all very interested in it. It became the big topic of conversation and every new person who walked in was told about it. These are people who listen to the news and apparently hadn't heard a thing about it.....is the 'old media' refusing to cover this??

After the freak o' natures I had to witness last night it took only a second to know I'm not going there. But I must bow down to your ability to find the strangest sites ever.

E and I aren't going to NZ today, are we E?

M - Your day makes mine look like I sat and ate bon-bons all day.

But FIL will get a big smile when he sees the Lasagna with garlic bread, Six baked chicken quarters (3 BBQ/3reg), big pot of BBQ Pulled Pork w/ his favorite buns, brown rice, home fries and a big pot of blackeyed peas. And for desert.... a sugar free choc cake.

So you see I've been taking it easy compared to your day. Relax already! :-) (plus I made hubby and PB&J w/bananas for dinner, the best part is that he really appreciates it. :-) )

I don't know for sure. I've been restricted to the TV or radio and I've seen and heard plenty of coverage. Was sticking with FNC and CNN and the AM stations. Maybe not much coverage on the FM music stations.

Thanks for picking some of that apart. I'm baffled that people consider clinton so smart. Listening to him is bad enough but to read the text is a real smack in the face as to just how inarticulate the worm really is.

That's not all Mr. Joyner had to say. Mr. Joyner spoke quite a few lies about President Bush and bill sat there with a stupid smirk on his face, silent.

Bill and Leo at the same benefit, again? Oh now I get why clinton is following Leo Dicaprio around. To pick up Leo's leftover chicks.

Small world, I just finished making a pot of pulled pork and my onion buns are now baking in the oven with the carrot cake.

Now if it would only warm up so I can get my Christmas decorations off the house. They are clashing with my Valentine's day wreath and flag.

C-Chick! Haven't seen you in a coon's age! Can I go with you? Mmmmm...sounds soooo much better than cooking!

Remember when Senator "Tennis Shoes" Murray said OBL was a hero because he built day care centers? Well get a load o' this. Our soldiers are building countries!

Soldiers from the 489th Civil Affairs Battalion, of Knoxville, Tenn., inspect the progress on a new school in the Parwan Province of Afghanistan.

And, according to the article, they do more than build...they're our front line in many places, keeping the peace and hunting Taliban. LINK

For some reason, I owe you money for all the laughter this one invoked. Thanks a bunch. The check's in the mail.

Pulled pork? Onion buns"

Maybe IowaGranny can bring me correct on these Midwest taste treats.
