We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Today, Secretary Powell will brief the UN Security Council regarding American intelligence that will show Iraq is not complying with UN requirements, intelligence the Iraqis say is fabricated.
In hearings on Capitol Hill, lawmakers were told by Administration officials that North Korea might sell fissile material, possibly complete Bombs, to other entities to raise cash.
Hans Blix told Iraqi officials that, while a date certain for military action has not been set, it is "five minutes till midnight," and the Iraqis had better start turning up information on arms production.
Last November, Saudi Arabia quietly provided a passport and transport to remove a woman from the United States who was supposed to have testified to a grand jury about her husbands terrorist connections.
NASA was warned nine years ago the shuttle could catostrophically fail if debris hit the vital underside area of the craft - the very scenario that is the leading idea being investigated now. NASA made some changes to the fuel tank design, but has noted the foam always "has been a pain."
And in Los Angeles, a city council meeting, which was the last for three council members who were recalled, got out of control. An amateur video has footage of the mayor clocking one of the council members with her handbag, followed by a punch.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good evening!
I'm trying to catch up on the news, pictures, polls and the FR reaction to Powell's indictment of Iraq. That's what it really was.
I really don't want a war. They are ugly affairs. A total breakdown in political discourse. Then again, countries (cultures) that don't have the will to defend themselves, wither on the vine. No self aware American can deny that we are already at war.
Powell's speech at the U.N. really didn't tell me anything I didn't know. Heck, there is evidence that Sadaam was instramental in the first World Trade bombing. Remember that guy Ramsey Usef? Imho, the hammer is cocked and the clock is ticking.
May the Lord watch over our troops with His mighty hand.
Sorry, I got carried away.

For Christmas, daughter-child gave me a beautiful photo framed in a lovely frame. The picture is one she took herself in the VA mountains ..... a long shot of mountains with some blooming thistle in the foreground. She thought it might be a nice decorative touch for the office.
..... This evening I was in Target picking up some things and wandered through their home decor section. To my delight I found one of those artificial plants ..... the ones that have the "fake" water ..... that exactly matches the thistle in daughter's photo. It will be a lovely companion to the photograph on my office shelf ....... :-)

Well, none of us really wants a war. It's just that the French and the Germans and the democrats are driving us crazy with talk!
The best thing would be if Saddam was simply removed or went into exile. Small hope of that, I think.

Isn't that nice when something like that happens? How are you doing? I am worn out from all the Powell stuff today, and may not make it til Condi Rice on the LKL rerun.

Just wanted to say good evening to you.
I look at the Ping List and I see we have some who are AWOL. Would be nice if they just 'bumped' the thread.

That's great news! I don't have much time to post lately, but I so enjoy seeing you around when I do.

The photo daughter-child gave me is somewhat similar to this only with mountains in the background .... and without the tacky fence.
Hubby and I delayed going to the office to watch Powell's presentation this morning ...... then hustled off to finish preparing paychecks. I haven't had much time to read/hear reaction except what has been here on ATRW.
Yesterday and today I have really wished I could have been home all day ....... no tv at the office and too busy to spend much time on FR. I'll go nuts when the bombing starts and I'm over there, news-deprived ...... :-(

I know Molly, he was like an old fashioned machine gun going off. "We have evidence of Iraqi troops moving WMD out of abuilding we're about to inspect" Need Proof??? Ok, here's the picture. "No nerve agents"? "Here's the telephone conversation". He was awsome. Like that guy. He needed convincing, and when he was convinced.....LOOK OUT!
To: M Kehoe
Hi, Mike!
Yes, there are too many who are AWOL ...... :-(

I found something else at Target, too ..... for hubby's office. Some time ago we bought this Thomas Kinkade painting for his office .......
I found a set of mirrors ...... well, the mirrors are quite small ...... only about 2 1/2 inches in diameter ...... but there are 3 of them and the "frames" are stars (about 8 1/2" across) ..... one red, one white, one blue. I think they will look great with the Kinkade print ....... on the adjoining wall, not immediately surrounding the print.

What year did Joe Kennedy make his appeasement speech?

So glad you are having some fun with the decorating. It's a break from the other things, isn't it??
LOL! Think I saw that thistle plant in Tar-jay this morning, too.

Sounds like my kind of evening/day. :) What did they think of Mansfield Park? That is the only one I haven't seen, I've been rather reluctant...

Hi Bev. Hope you're down is sunny AZ...
Yes, wars are terrible, and it's almost beyond bearing that action was not taken earlier before it got so dangerous with Mr. Saddam Hussein.
