Today, Secretary Powell will brief the UN Security Council regarding American intelligence that will show Iraq is not complying with UN requirements, intelligence the Iraqis say is fabricated.

In hearings on Capitol Hill, lawmakers were told by Administration officials that North Korea might sell fissile material, possibly complete Bombs, to other entities to raise cash.

Hans Blix told Iraqi officials that, while a date certain for military action has not been set, it is "five minutes till midnight," and the Iraqis had better start turning up information on arms production.

Last November, Saudi Arabia quietly provided a passport and transport to remove a woman from the United States who was supposed to have testified to a grand jury about her husbands terrorist connections.

NASA was warned nine years ago the shuttle could catostrophically fail if debris hit the vital underside area of the craft - the very scenario that is the leading idea being investigated now. NASA made some changes to the fuel tank design, but has noted the foam always "has been a pain."

And in Los Angeles, a city council meeting, which was the last for three council members who were recalled, got out of control. An amateur video has footage of the mayor clocking one of the council members with her handbag, followed by a punch.

NK society ready to "melt-down"....I would not want to be the leader of the free world, cause he may just have to make a decision to nuke the NK nukes and then threaten catastrophic loss of life if NK invades South or manages to get off a nuke to Japan or SK...

The Ruskies have another chance to show they want their future to be one of freedom, vs. Muslim Jihad, by siding with US and ousting the greasy Stalin. IF they won't, they loose.

My guess is the military psy-ops folks are sending more emails to Iraqi commanders and on radio telling them exactly what to do to declare surrender. They are probably getting explicit commands, do this, and you won't be obliterated; don't do this, and you will be dead within 72 hrs.

There is a certain amount of excitement about war, though you can tell I am not a veteran. That is the delusion of TV wars, when we see all the gadgets blow their butts off the earth....we don't see the death and destruction up close and personal like our fighters...we don't carry the wounds when civilians, or friendlies, get torched by accident...May our bombs end all resistance very soon

I read some Kennedy quotes and I hope to God his lies and greed and socialist hatred of goodness will come back to slap the demoncrats in the face. These pathetic loosers. Sorry, my one naysay. I don't believe NASA bullshit one second about now it isn't the tiles.....coulda been a meteorite.... orwell's memory hole again in action. Even the NYT ran a piece about environmental correctness led to bad decisions which caused warnings....We are really supposed to believe after all these days -- with the pictures of whatever it was that fell off during liftoff -- had nada to do. Did you all read the sickening (for the victims) fact that NASA had to go on Ebay to find parts for the Shuttle!!!!! Some heads need to roll over there. This is save the bureacracy, keep the funding in action once again.

I am just sitting down to watch it all on TV being that I missed it cause of cleaning the garage out for s-i-l, what I heard on the radio sounded like a slam dunk for Gen Powell but you know how it will go, no war, kill more americans but no war. What makes this so important? 10 letters which spell Twin Towers. located in NYC (still in the USA the last I heard) in the state of New York (also in the USA). It could very well happen again and soon at that.

I am off to see what is on the tube and will check in after a little while.

OH NO! Condi is on LKL live? But I have to be watching the re-run of Powell's speech then. I never thought that by keeping one stupid appointment this morning, I would run behind all day! Now I'll have to stay up to see the LKL rerun. I may never catch up!
