I can't remember when a memorial service affected me so, especially one put on by the Feds. I am SO glad that bc is not our "leader" and that we have a man the stature of GW trying to lead this nation. I doubt his speech will rank as a 95 or above, and will probably not have long historical remembrance, as did Reagan's speech for Challenger, but he is the kind of guy that would rather make sure the speech was right on the children and mothers/husbands, families of the deceased, than to worry if he had some one-liners for the history books.

After the ceremony I called my kids (who are home on a snow day, though it has yet to snow at 2:20???) and I got each one on the phone at a time and I told them that when they grow up and remember this day they should remember that their father told them we have the blessing of living in the best nation in the world.
