No doubt about it, kids keep you young. If it weren't for the birth of Nathan 11 months ago, I'd have no clue who Bob the Builder or Dora the Explorer are.

I get the biggest laugh when Nathan's 13 year old brother sees Dora come on...that show sends him into a conniption fit!

I have a five year girl, an eight year old girl, a twelve year old girl, and a fourteen year old girl. They are not allowed to watch T.V., and they don't want to watch T.V. Mary Kate and Ashley are just some weird hip-hugger wearing freaks whose pictures they catch a glimpse of as they rush past the teenybopper section of the bookstore on their way to choose REAL books.

Doesn't it give you pause that so many Freeper kids know so much about these two pathetiques? If you make trash available to them, then people will wallow in trash. Anybody will. Even I will (ESPECIALLY I will). It's the sin nature.

Friends, PLEASE turn off the T.V., watch old (pre-1960) movies on the vcr, and read with your kids. Take up music, or biking, or horseback riding. They want to do what you do. Then, if they have problems with drugs, pregnancy, and the occult, you can rightfully moan "Where did we go wrong?" Until then, don't even ask . . .
