We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our fredom, die in vain!!
There is a new tact from the anti-war crowd in the news this morning. They are calling for bringing back the draft. Reps Charlie Rangel of New York and John Conyers of Michigan have two complaints: (1) the fighting force of the Nation is composed of too high a level of minorities; and (2) they believe the US would deal with Iraq peacefully if politicians knew their children would be the one's in harms way.
The Supreme Court of California has ruled that it is rape even if sex is started with the consent of both adults, but the female changes her mind after the act has actually started.
Charles Pickering has been renominated by the Bush Administration for a Federal Appellate judgeship.
And there are two new ad spots that has been designed by Arianna Huffington of the Detroit Group which suggests that SUV owners are supporting terrorists. From the New York Times:
"This is George," a girl's voice says of an oblivious man at a gas station. "This is the gas that George bought for his S.U.V." The screen then shows a map of the Middle East. "These are the countries where the executives bought the oil that made the gas that George bought for his S.U.V." The picture switches to a scene of armed terrorists in a desert. "And these are the terrorists who get money from those countries every time George fills up his S.U.V."
A second commercial depicts a series of ordinary Americans saying things like: "I helped hijack an airplane"; "I gave money to a terrorist training camp in a foreign country"; "What if I need to go off-road?"
At the close, the screen is filled with the words: "What is your S.U.V. doing to our national security?"
YET (!!!!), these are the very same folks that do not want us to expand our domestic sources of oil by drilling in ANWR. They should sit down and shut up, because they are hypocrites - each and every one of them. Why? Because it matters not what vehicle you drive, a portion of the fuel can be argued to have come from Saudi Arabia - so they are just as guilty following their line of reasoning.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Some good news-bad news on the judiciary:
The Good News: Pres. Bush intends to re-nominate Judge Pickering...
The Bad News: Sen. Schumer plans to announce a filibuster against Pickering (as reported on
NRO today)...

To: Bitwhacker
Well, let Schumer filibuster. I think Frist will FORCE a filibuster. None of this hogwash about "well, we can't get cloture so we won't bother."
Make Schumer talk. I hope he is filibustering when we go into Iraq.

Wow, that's two errors the Chairman can attribute to a lack of caffiene this morning. I certainly did ping myself effectively in #2, however.
Sorry about that folks!
To: Molly Pitcher
Ahhhhh.
To: JRandomFreeper
Folks, take time to say a little prayer for the families of the folks killed on this plane, only take a couple of minutes. Thanks.
To: gulfcoast6
Prayers offered. Thanks for the reminder.

No need to apologize...I was momentarily confused and since I haven't had my caffeine yet, I wanted to make sure I wasn't losing it.

Take a look at that cartoon you posted, Chairman. Either I have lost my sense of humor or I need to start listening to NPR again to get this kind of joke.

Found youse guys! Now is it my turn to hide???
I'm really fed up with the government this morning. We submitted a proposal, that was accepted, and now the Defense Contracting Command - Washington (DCCW) can't get it into their stupid automated procurement system. So, they're asking us to propose another way so they can input it. I said no way, we don't propose to accommodate your system, we propose to the Statement of Work.
They "upgraded" their software last year - and that put them back into the 19th century - - it's apparently a bear to use and very clumsy. I'm seeking out a program manger who has a 4 -star on a project he's heading up to see if they can hollar at someone.....
sheesh.......

Take a look at that cartoon you posted, Chairman. It was not the cartoon that I posted. My source must have changed that particular cartoon sometime this morning. It's a risk I take not putting the actual JPG on my website first, and then linking. But that's over the line for me as regards the Copyright Act, so I'll have to endure the possibility slings and arrows may come my way once in awhile.
To: Chairman_December_19th_Society
That's why I posted the tagline I did.

Because at any given time only ONE of them actually works!!!
To: Bitwhacker
