lysie, husband is having a little trouble losing those last 4-5 #s on the diet....but his bp is definitely down, and today he sees his endocrinologist to get test results...

Will let you know if his trig. are DOWN, and his HDL is UP, as we hope!

I hope you come back soon, Guennie. People can be so crude and rude sometimes here at FR. One time (alright, more than once) I made the mistake of trying to explain my opinion on a certain issue, only to have the post twisted and morphed into what they wanted to have it say. Back for a few minutes. Had a talk with the place that was going to hire me to see just what they had in mind in extending a part-time job offer. If I can work it out, it might be good for me to work about 4 nights a week. But finding full-time work is my priority now.

What was your doctor's attitude towards Atkins before your hubby started the diet? Did he have concerns or did he even know he's on the diet? My sister, a nurse, seemed skeptical and questioned some things, but as my numbers improved, she finally dropped all skepticism.
