Did you write awhile back that your cat was ailing?? How is she?

Our cats were boarded last week, and the vet gave me a call about our older cat: he recommended some tests as she had lost weight.

The results were in yesterday, and he called to tell me that a high calcium level indicated probable cancer...her organs were still in good shape, and no mass could be detected...

But I ruled out further tests, x-rays and so forth....

Glad that the boys have just seen her, given her lots of attention and love. She is 16+ years old, and we'll just have to take it day by day.

She has been a precious addition to our family, and a HUGE benefit to John especially in his growing up years.

How very caring and sweet of you...pets do give us so much love and joy don't they???

It is really imperative that we give back to them, at the end..what they have given us.

Oh, Molly, I'm so sorry. I read about your cat on yesterday's thread and it slipped my mind....easily done these days... Sorry to hear about her illness. Not easy making these decisions. Give the sweetie a loving pet from me.

Our cat seems to be on the mends, but we have to monitor his potty habits. Male cats can easily get plugged up with crystals. We have been feeding him the special urinary cat food, but I guess it wasn't working well enough. I'm happy we caught it early. It could have been fatal in as little as 48 hours or less.

He seems to be doing well.

Sarah simply must become a vet. All these pets are costing a fortune. I couldn't live with myself knowing we didn't at least try to cure the cureable.
