kassie, it sounds like you had a nice, quiet, enjoyable Christmas. Ours was very nice, too, except for my whiny almost 8 year old niece who didn't appreciate ANY of her gifts from the extended family because she wanted a TV set and a Playstation! LOL, Grandma (my mom), gave the kid and her parents a piece of her mind about that and I'm glad!

Guennie, has it been pure heaven, having your son home again for the week? I'd love to see his portrait of you when it's finished and I hope someone can scan it for you so that we can all see it. Prayers that the Los Angeles job is offered to him.

lysie, aw, your poor kitty. I hope that they'll be able to fix him up again without requiring surgery or drastic measures. Also, I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your post last Saturday of Charlie Daniels' "Christmas Thoughts". Wonderful!

I was glad to see you post "Mary, Did You Know?" ... someone at church will usually sing that for us, but I missed hearing it this year. Such a meaningful, moving song.

Got Bob Woodward's hit piece for Christmas. Truly wasn't something I would have spent money on myself, but now that I have it I will read the book, to see how the other half thinks (well - I know how they think, it just does me good to confirm that every once in a while).

Also got bunches of new duds. Always love getting new things to wear. Lots of that this year. :))

And a tome on weather prediction. Cool book (at least from my perspective - ;^).

Godspeed to our men and women in uniform. You are doing the Lord's work in protecting us from harm. Thank you very much, and bless each and every one of you!
