Prayers for a safe journey, Chairman.

The havy snow is inching south - keep praying.
This is frustrating, as I have been hoping for a major snow event. Just not now......
Thanks for the reminder. I'll call Nels and Matt this morning.

Chairman, you were right about our weather. It's been raining since last night and I think the temp would have to drop a good 10 degrees to turn to snow.
Rivendell, nice poem. I think it's the first time I've read it, although it did seem kind of familiar.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Get those cards mailed today, UG.
We have to go pay our internet bill today. We missed a month somehow and last night when I was having problems checking e-mail and getting online, I was afraid it was because we didn't pay our last month's bill.
I'm really glad I could send our Christmas letter by e-mail. I've been hearing from so many people since then. My 87-year-old uncle wrote a really nice e-mail back to us yesterday. He's my dad's older brother and amazes me with what he can do. He's a widower, but keeps busy and has an active social life. I can't imagine my dad learning anything about the computer. He did just drive from Branson, Missouri back here yesterday, though.

Leaving now. I need to run and get a few stocking stuffer items, and run by the shop to fill a couple of sprayers with this new de-icer we will more than likely be testing tonight. :-(
If I don't get back on in time, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!

You have my prayers Chairman. Stay safe, and have a wonderful Christmas.

I've just been reading that article about the Russian city that put the face of Jesus on their flag. I spent almost two months in a city in Ukraine in 1999 and discovered that their city symbol was a Jewish star of David over a crescent moon. I was told that it was predominantly a Jewish city and their symbol represented Judaism conquering Islam. There are very few Jews there now and probably no Muslims, but I didn't hear any Christians complaining about the symbols.

You're welcome kassie.
The thing is, I know that the folks here at ATRW don't need to be reminded to keep our brave service men and women in their thoughts and prayers, because we do this every day.
But sadly, the people who do need to be reminded, wouldn't understand, and simply wouldn't care (and I don't think I could tolerate the sites they frequent anyhow) so I post it here where I know it will be appreciated for what it is...
To: Rivendell
I copied and pasted it to all my friends and family. Just a little friendly reminder.

When I was a child there wasn't anything I likes much better than watching Bob Hope's USO tours. Even at that young age I was touched my our servicemen's smiles of appreciation. They never asked for much, but gave plenty. God bless them.
Thank you.

Good morning Lysie. I had to laugh at your comment on yesterdays' thread about Raymond, and how Marie is like your m-i-l. She is so much like my m-i-l too. We never miss that show!

Hi, kassie. My Hubby is a cross between Raymond and Robert...being the oldest he seems to get the shaft like Robert. However, in other departments he's like Raymond. LOL
I'm NOT at all like Debra or so I think. :-)
Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed Christmas, kassie.

lysie - Bob Hope is without a doubt a national treasure. He will be truly mourned and missed when he passes on to his final reward by all of us, past, present and future who served and can never thank him enough for all he did for our men and women in uniform.
To: Rivendell; All
LOL I amazed you understood my post. Yikes!! Way too many typos in that one.
Let's see...I've had plenty of coffee. Can't use that as an excuse. I guess I'll just have to admit...I goofed. :-)
Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas, too,Riv.
Errands calling. Back later. God Bless you ALL.
Love you my friends, lysie.
