Well good. Perhaps they have lost your scent!
To: HairOfTheDog
No, they're just laying wait for the most opportune time.

(At least when you see them, you know where they are and which direction they're coming from)

I'm looking at the hi-res calendar pics. Fantastic one of M and P standing in the flood.

Well, remember the sniffing...
I think the sniffing is important.

They are all wonderful!
Wonder how one gets a hold of one of those calendars?

Wonder how one gets a hold of one of those calendars?Do I understand correctly that they were a promotional item for New Line employees only? Seems I heard that somewhere.

Ken: noticed it too on some shots; several ideas on that, some of the Rohimm had a shorter bow which would be appropriate for a horse oriented people, it lends itself to being more manuverable on horseback and the training may have carried over to when they shot on foot. I recall a scene in the Warg fight when the bow was horizontal, that was point blank range. When in Helm's deep, a variety of shooting styles were employed. I have tried shooting that way, it is accurate at close range. Many of the North American Indians when on horseback used short sinew backed bows, designed to shoot at close range. The draw length on those were 16-20 inches, a longbow 28 inches or more. Some of the elves at Helm's deep used even a longer draw, anchoring back by the ear, giving 30-32inches. Generally bows gain 3 lbs or so per inch past normal draw length, giving a sort of magnum performance. I noticed Faramir's longbow men used a more conventional longbow stance. So, the variety of shooting styles did not strike me as being inappropriate.

Hullo! I had a long day at work and then spent some family time. Now I'm here, having a little fun and relaxing before bed. I'nm also in an 'ad-copy' mode: I like to try to describe my current project as if I were doing a movie trailer, or those highly inaccurate blurbs on the back of the book.

Hi! Just finished the dishes and I can't decide whether to whistle or edit Congressman Billybob.

(You know how to whistle, don't you? You just put your lips together and blow.)
To: HairOfTheDog
Hair: imagine in your mind's eye, Charlie Brown leaning his head into the tree, saying "Good Grief!". That's me right now. :-(

Edit him? Why?

I don't know where everybody went.
I'm just sitting here finishing off my Ghiradelli dark chocolate. You know, it's good...but I could eat a bag of hershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips and be just as happy.
My kids are watching Signs. If you haven't seen the movie, it shows this alien walking out of shrub during a child's birthday party. The kids have seen it a half dozen times, but every time that alien walks out and the music builds, I give a shriek and they jump a foot, then pogo bounce around the room for a few minutes.
It's quite hysterically funny!

Hi OT!
29 people have looked my my sneakers...no bids yet. Very likely just Hole dwellers!
To: JenB
He's been on a local talk radio show discussing the Bill of Rights and I had to open my big mouth...er....fat fingers and tell CD that I could record him.

I've been posting the stuff to the Yahoo FR files section.
So I have to go back and cut out the ads, weather, traffic, and news.

Don't think I can wear those sneakers. :) Besides...I like leather uppers.
To: 2Jedismom
Signs wasn't bad but your way sounds funnier!

Ack! Kitty has the crazies!
To: JenB
LOL We have a blast watching it. By the end they've had such a good time having me scare them silly that they aren't really that scared! It's really an odd kind of "reverse psychology" I think.
Besides, I told them that all monsters are made out of chocolate and that if they ever see one, don't approach it, to just call me...because I want all that chocolate for myself. They are so focused on the absolute injustice of this that they actually look for monsters so they can get to it first.
Works for us. ;-)
