The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Posted on 12/17/2002 7:32:02 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Journey to the Cross-roads

The Two Towers Edition

Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Well, now that you mention Bilbo's party, I'm reminded of my favorite female to appear in the series so far...

A sensible lass, who knows how to have a good time.

Hey, I did find where I initially saw that spiked photo of Saruman. It does have the background changed, but not CGI'd yet. it was at the quintessential site. Here is the pic, click it to link to the source:

I am looking for a nice photo of Saruman with his hand over the palantir, as large and clear as possible, if you know of one, please FR Mail me the link. Thanks.

Mmmmm.....beer. Is there any more of that fresh salsa around or do I have to break out the store-bought?

Mmmmmmm, salsa. I still have a bottle of home-made salsa from Wneighbor... it is wonderful! I hereby nominate Wneighbor to supply salsa to the Entmoot!

Have any good tortilla chips?

Well, I don't have a lot of Saruman, but here is a nice big shot, don't ask me why the pilantir is that color, maybe that is what it looks like pre-effects!

There is a series of screenshots here, not real big....

2!!!

You are not going to believe. We went to visit our new baby and my mom fell in love with an older puppy...6 weeks old! So she bought it too! The younger one, the little girl is only 10 days old and will need to stay with mama naturally, but the 6 week old little boy is coming home Friday! And guess his name??? I got to name him! His name is...

tadaaaaaa!!! PIPPIN!!

Here is a picture of Pippin with Matthew and I

And here is a picture of his "little sister", named "Madeliene"(sp?), Maddie for short, with me...

And a picture of Pippin with my very delighted mom!

We didn't hold Maddie too much, because she was so tiny and her little eyes weren't even open yet...but aren't they cute?

Here's one I just made: Saruman and the Palantir

Please download it instead of linking to it, though!

Thats one I saw that I was trying to find. Actually the one I recall seeing was a vertical (not tilted) image and a little lighter in contrast/brightness. But thats the one. I will search some more on google. Thanks.

Mom didn't care for Merry...I suggested it, though. Pippin went over ok with the boy, but she was set on Madeleine...or however you spell it...you know, the little girl character that hangs out with the nuns...my neices really love the character and I think that's why she chose it.

I have trouble knowing where my i and e are supposed to go...it seems like the "i before e except after c" doesn't work all the time!
