My phone book was delievered a while ago ..... by someone who not only placed it on the porch in front of the door but rang the doorbell before leaving. Just thought you'd like to know that you're not the only conscientious phone book deliverer. Ours has usually been left by the mail box. We don't live in a rural area with a loooooong driveway though ...... I think it was smart of you to start doing it that way in that situation.

I must say that I wish this person had been just a little less considerate. I had just come home from being out all afternoon. I was checking the gazillion voice mail messages (business and personal) and trying to find out if hubby made it to Wilmington ok (he did) and if any catastrophes had befallen us when the doorbell rang. And I got downstairs in time to see the van driving off and to find the phone book at my door. Next year (*snerk*) don't take up the practice of ringing doorbells.
