We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Henry Kissinger, appointed recently to head the "9/11 Commission," resigned from that position, citing conflicts of interest.
Mary Matalin, VP Cheney's PR strategist, is leaving the White House to spend more time with her family. The Pravda still couldn't avoid a dig, saying the Vice President had "unusal influence inside the White House." Shouldn't a VP have a high level of influence? Come on!
And the CIA believes fully 1/3 of the pre-war leadership of Al Qa'eda has now been killed or captured.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Don't you mean, "Nine Nights Of The Nordic Lights"????:^)

Didn't Iowa Granny say she was going to be out of town on a business trip?

My piano students' Christmas recital is this afternoon (and yes, I DO bill it as a "CHRISTMAS" recital, not a "holiday recital" or "winter program".:)
So I have to finish printing the programs, rinse out the punch bowls, pack up the cups and napkins and cookies , pull together any needed music, practice my solo, take a shower, get dressed, etc. etc. etc.
See y'all later!!!!!!

That is correct. I have decided that much like Hannukah sometimes overlaps Christmas, The Nine Nights of the Nordic Lights will overlap Kwanza this year.
I demand equal time for my made-up holiday!!
To: gulfcoast6
I believe that is correct. She was supposed to go into DC about the same time as one of those storms was due through. I remember her talking about it.

I went to the bank yesterday and the teller told me that happy hoilday junk, I said back to her, 'no, its a merry Christmas, and so merry christmas to you'. She smiled and nodded her head.

What a pleasant surprise I just had, the teenagers from my church came by and brougnt me a Christmas gift.
To: gulfcoast6
How wonderful! Bet that put you in the Christmas mood!
To: MozartLover
Can you fine stupidity?
I guess if you can legislate it, you ought to be able to fine it, uhhmmm...

Good Luck Mozie!
Go figure... my daughter's "holiday concert" featured lots about Kwanza, but not one Christian song.
Kwanza is a nationalist holiday that is exclusive only to African-Americans.
It just drives me nuts!!!
To: Miss Marple
It sure did.

the teenagers from my church came by and brougnt me a Christmas gift. That was sweet. That must have made your day. Trill's teenager growled at me as we passed in the hallway this morning. LOL! Maybe they stayed up too late last night.

Here is a post that says Sec. Rumsfeld has alerted 27,000 reservists they are likely to be called up. Looks like mostly Army and Navy. No message on my phone yet.

God Speed John!

I'm still waiting. It's the guys that are getting the calls that need our prayers. There's lots of young men with young families that won't be with them this Christmas. God bless them all.

Got a little break from delivering phonebooks. Getting near the finish line. Yippee!
I'm frustrated with the phone situation. We have never had DSL anywhere we've lived, though we've had the option. At our new place, we would probably get it...if it was an option. No cable TV either, but since we have gone almost all year with no TV at all (even in Singapore), we won't miss that a bit.
Thanks for not embarrassing me.
