ROFL!!!!!!
Ooooooooooooh.........I'm SCARED.:^D
To: Mr. Mulliner
Do you have to run? Is time a concern? Could you take your time & walk at a leisurely pace and still get it done?
I have knee problems too...............take some Motrin............every few hours until they feel better.

She's never seen it before, and she's a good dog. She barks at things that are not normal. Which is good.

I have a total of 972 books to deliver by Saturday. I think the company has no concept of how large people's yards are here in rural Tennessee. Most of my deliveries are down driveways because we cannot use mailboxes and they have to be on the doorstep. It seems impossible even if I did run all the time. I may listen to Mrs. Mulliner's advice and quit tomorrow, even if we don't get paid. Heck, we're moving on Monday and it's not like we don't have enough to keep busy with.
To: Mr. Mulliner
You only have to deliver 24.3 every hour. EVERY SINGLE HOUR between now and then. Assuming that you need 8 hours sleep and 8 hours off, that makes for 72.9 per hour. That will be difficult, considering your decription of the yards. Either you need to move to 12 hour days, which for 2 days, can be acceptable for a young man in your great condition, or you need a force multiplier.

I have designed a force multiplier. You have a pickup truck, don't you?
I have an air cannon that can be mounted in the back with the air compressor and generator. All you have to do is drive within 300 yards (please don't get closer) of the front porch, load the phonebook into the cannon, pressurize the system, aim, and shoot.
Your kids should be of great help in that task. ;>)

I need to get to bed pretty soon. If I was there, I would help you out.
God bless us all. Each, and every one.

I'll take it!
Seriously, with another drive to and from Nashville and an hour of work to do there, daylight ours for me to deliver tomorrow will be only about 6-8. Very difficult after dark and not recommended by the company.
My force multiplier is my progeny. I've got a wife and 3 kids who can all help. Well, the youngest may not do a lot, but the other two can and seem eager to pitch in. If we have to, Saturday we'll be split up in two different vehicles with our books on the ready.

Answer this question whenever you have time....and whatever thread you happen to be.
What music do you listen to? Who are your favorite musicians and composers? Do you listen strictly to classical? Inquring minds want to know.

I think I chose the wrong word to use about marriage. I think some people go into marriage expecting it to be all lovey dovey and kisses, and when it is not, and requires some work, then they give up. I should have said that, instead of tough.
To: Northern Yankee
I thought the woman was incredibly selfish. Marriage, and parenthood is about sacrificing your needs and wants for the good of your family. That's where you really grow up, and learn about giving to others is more important than the things you want for yourself. She commented how its now nice because her grown up daughter and she are now friends. Howe nice, but when children are young they need committed parents.
Good comments. Her husband sounded like a good guy, it sounded as if he was giving everything he had to the marriage. I felt sorry for the husband and kids in the family, the wife was incredibly selfish and self-centered. And quite frankly, after I read everything they did together as a family, I thought, why didn't you just stay married???

I have one of those field kitchens too. Well, my LDS ward has one. It is a Coleman one, opens up, and the doors have areas to hold utensils and stuff. I found it very handy to have when we were at girls camp.
To: Mr. Mulliner
Good luck on the knees and the job. That's a lot of phone books to get out in such a short period of time.

Wow, prayers for your daughter and your mother-in-law. Kidney stones are not fun (well, ovarian cysts and appendicitis aren't fun either.)
I was out doing a bit of shopping this evening. My dad wants a CD of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing 'Little Drummer Boy.' I called around today and found one, and went to pick it up this evening. The store was really busy when I walked in, the lines at the registers were really long. But after I found the CD and movie I was looking for, I walked up to the register, and NO ONE was standing in line. Four registers open, and not a soul waiting. :) And now that I have killed every thread I have been on this evening, I am going to bed.
To: Utah Girl
Oh, what's the name of that CD? I would love to have it! That's one of my favorites, too. All their music is just fantastic but if forced to pick a favorite Christmas song it would be their version of "Joy to the World" that we have on one of our CDs. I just love to really turn it up loud and feel the music ..... it's totally awesome!!! A truly magnificent arrangement!
