WAR ON TERROR ALERT-- The Pravda is writing this morning the Adminstration has credible evidence that Al Qa'eda took possession of a chemical weapon, containing VX nerve gas, in either October or November from a middle eastern country, which was named. The country? IRAQ!

In a related issue, the President has ordered the military to receive smallpox innoculations, and the shots will be made available to the American public for anyone who wants them.

Had power this morning! Yippee! Had three separate outages yesterday, each between 1 and 1 1/2 hours. The last coming in the evening. The morning commute was treacherous - a lot of water had refrozen over the evening, so it was very slow going.

North Korea has announced they will bring back on line an old-style nuclear reactor they had planned on decommissioning. Their reasoning is the plant is necessary because the United States has suspended oil shipments.

China, meanwhile, is expected to try and urge her neighbor (North Korea) to adopt a "different behavior."

A report shows that up to 70% of '911' calls placed from cell phones were in error. One of the leading causes is programming '911' as a speed dial number.

Chair, you talking about the news and all, early this A.M. I was watching International World News out of Canada and some reporter up there said that 'Yes, the USA would attack Iraq very soon, then it will be North Korea and then Iran, they are a bully state you know and want to throw their power around', THAT made me sit up in bed and tell the TV,'Good, we will put Canada on our list to attact', sheesh.
There is a lot of this coming out of Canada lately.

Japan is in serious trouble with their banking system, talking about it might go under, effect the whole world. Seems like the banks loaned large amounts of money on bad loans and it is coming back on them, bad new for the whole money world.

Wasn't 10 seconds after I hit "post" for the thread than my second-level supervisor yells for a meeting, all agitated and sorts about an e-mail he received from another office that misrepresented a bunch of issues. Had to get him calmed down.

My 2 cents....I don't think what Lott said should have caused the firestorm it did.....(the Dems have said MUCH worse)

..but having said that....IF this meant Lott stepped down from leadership...(& both Krauthammer & Sowell are concurring with that idea)...

..then this could be a silver lining for Republicans....maybe we can have Delay!!!...someone strong!

It is off for that cup # 3 (today only) and then gotta take oldest d to dentist, might run by WalMart and get into a little spending spree. Gotta find some educational disc for gd for Christmas, equal to 3 grade stuff. Oh yeah, she made the honor roll (2nd grade) for the fist half of of the year.
Ummmm, must be taking after her PawPaw, huh? NO, I wasn't the shapest knife in my class by far.
